7. Shipwreck

ALOUETTE'S POV

Nayla and I has been married but a week before something arose to try and tear us apart. But I wasn't one to go back on my word, so it would take a far worse event to happen to split the two or us apart.

As Nayla and I had yet to pick out a place to move into, the two of us were staying in my master bedroom, in times like these I was glad of the extra room given to me by my birth right.

While Nayla was out, I began to run a bath,  feeling myself get consumed by the cloudy waters in an effort to cleanse my pores.

But the heat of the water was too much, causing me to feel dizzy. I couldn't help but let my head fall back into the waters. my hearing growing muffled as the water surrounded me.

And yet, suddenly I was grasped by a hefty force, pulling me up from the depths as air began to rush back into my lungs.

Opening my heavy eyes, my sight was full of golden locks that could only belong to Nayla. " Hello my sweet " I said with a yawn, oblivious to the danger I had so narrowly escaped.

No reply came from Nayla, as all audible words that left her lips were muffled by her tears.

It was only in this moment that I understood her grief,  so I wrapped one of my arms around her shoulders,  pushing her away ever so softly so I could look at her face.

" Shh, I'm alright my love, I'm alright " I whispered, glad to see my words had aides in cheering up Nayla.

But as soon as grief left her face, a bold blush grew across her cheeks as her eyes darted to my bere breasts.

I laughed, as a similar heat spread across my cheeks.

Nayla had turned away, giving me the privacy to quickly slip into a robe. not that I needed the privacy,  but I didn't want to make Nayla uncomfortable.

" Alou.. I have something to tell you.. "

I turned around, tilting my head as I looked up to see my wife's face full of sadness. " What is it ? " I asked with a gulp.

" It's bad news, " she started, " I... I'm now the captain of my ship. "

Bad news ? That wasn't bad news at all, Nayla had been aiming for the position long before she met me. " Oh my gosh sweetie, I'm so proud of you ! " I said, extending my arms so give her a hug.

But Nayla did not step for the embrace,  but rather wrapped her arms around her own torso in a nervous fashion. " It's just, the boys want to set sail, want to go off the one of islands where there was no life sighted.  "

" A-and, I don't want to leave you here alone, we've only just been married a week after all " she added finally, looking at the ground as though she was preparing for me to blow up at her.

But I didn't.

Rather, a grin grew on my face as I stepped closer, wrapping my arms around Nayla's hips as I pulled her in; staring up into her eyes. " You don't want to leave me so I'll go with you ~ "

" What ? "

" You heard me ~ It'll be like our honeymoon with a few extra guests ~"

A gave Nayla a charming smile, as I crept up onto my tipy toes as I gave her a peck on the lips.

" I-I'd love that but... Are you sure that's what you want ? " Nayla's face lit up, causing a great joy to stir within me.
