Leia almost forced herself took look up at her captor. A wingless reptile, with scars racing down its back as though the wings had been successfully ripped off. She shivered, feeling kind of bad for the dragon that was holding her so gently as it carried her further and further. Needless to say, although still alarmed amd rearing to escape, she knew deep down that this dragon did not want to hurt her.
Regardless, observing the dragon, noticing all the little details about it calmed her greatly. Like the deep scars that lined its face, two jagged marks over the snout, just bellow the eyes, and the last scar to the left off its mouth, starting from its cheek bone and finishing just at the jaw line.
The more and more Leia observed the dragon, the more she was sure that ' it ' was actually a ' she '. With a slim yet athletic build - no doubt because she couldn't fly - this female had a rounded chest, covered by her maroon mane that started from the top of her head beside her blood red horns. Against all the dark grey, the maroon stood out like a deer in the headlight, yet fitted perfectly with the rest of her colour scheme.
By the time that Leia had observed every detail she could find - even down to the maroon feather tipped tail, and the difference in eye colour ( left silver, right navy blue ) - the dragon had stopped in an exquisite cave. Full of greenery, grass, flowers, fruit even. Not to mention the fact that this cave was fully lit by what seemed to be sun light ! This of course, confused her greatly, after all, she could still hear the thunderous patter of rain going on outside.
Magic.
It had to be the only way, and as a witch herself it wasn't all that hard to believe. But a dragon ? Her day was just getting weirder and weirder.
" You sleep here "
A voice ? But from where ? A deep voice, full of a forgien accent that just rolled off the speakers tongue. It didn't take long for Leia to realise that the very dragon holding onto her was the owner of the voice.
" s-sl " Leia had to stop herself from speaking, as her words were all over the place and she sounded like a fool. " sleep w-where ? " The female asked, her voice small but far more confident.
For a moment Leia was sure this dragon had rolled her eyes, as though there was something very obvious she had missed. Regardless, the grey dragon craned her long neck to the roof of the dome like cave, raising her hand - with leia in it - to a large ledge that loomed over the greenery bellow. She was a prisoner with no escape.
And yet, despite this fact, the ledge was covered with several soft fabrics, laid out like a nest with a large quilt placed over it. Leia hsd to admit, she was one awfully spoiled prisoner. But as she turned to thank the dragon, the large reptile was out of sight, like there never was that dragon that had just scared the royal shit of her.
~*~*~*~
She wasn't sure when or how she climbed into the nest, couldn't remember falling asleep almost the moment she was comfortable, and she most certainly didn't remember just how she could have fallen asleep with the thunderous beating of her heart echoing her brain.
One moment she was weary, standing by the ledge's edge, the next she was curled up as she was slowly waking up. No doubt that it all left Leia feeling awfully confused, and not-so-surprisingly hungry. Not recalling when her last meal was, the female could only give a weak giggle at her own forgetfulness. But rather then forgetting to eat, Leia was now stranded atop a ledge with no way to get down but by the aid of...
Oh yeah. A fucking dragon.
But that reminded her, just where was her not so lottlw captor ? Snoozing ? Eating her previous prey ? Oh who knew, all it meant to Leia was that she was going to be hungy for a long whole... but oh ! What if that was thw dragon's plan !? What if she was going to die of starvation ? Would that be better then at the stake ? Thoughts raced around Leia's mind, feeling her heart beat quicken as she heard the ever so familiar 'click'
Sitting up in a jolt, Leia now realised the clicking was infact talons making contact against the stone floor. But that meant -
" This one is home purple haired oneeee "
The voics held a sing song tone, undoubtedly the dragon was happy, but for what reason ? Leia was almost afraid to ponder about it. But rather then the smooth deep voice this dragon held before, it was instead replaced with a far more... 'human' voice, less ominous, less threatening.
Leia crawled over to the ledges edge, craning his neck to peer at where the dragon was. She was smaller now, still with a slim yet athletic build, still with dark grey scales ( though they had seemingly shunk with the rest of her body ), still with bright red horns and a deshevaled face. Yep, it was her alright.
But to Leia's surprise, not only had the she - dragon's voice succumb to change, but so had the majority of her body. Not like that of a 20ft serpent, but that of a woman; a tall woman at that, reaching about 7" perhaps even 8" or 9". Needless to say, With Leia's height only at 5"4" she felt no need to stand dierectly beside the now human'ish' dragon.
Leia could no longer see any obvious scales, it was as if the scales had shrunk into the normal pores lacing any man or woman's skin. But still atop the woman's head was two bright red horns, still connecting to the tip of her spine was a whole different limb, a feather tipped tail.
But in her absent of thought, the she-dragon had descended closer, with a deer carcas slung across her shoulders. And before Leia could move back out of sight, the woman had raised her free hand into a friendly wave. The woman grinned, not a sinister grin of ill intention, a warm, welcoming smile of oddly flat teeth; human teeth. But it was the canines that grabbed Leia's attention, sharp, pointed fangs that stood out among the rest of the pearly whites.
Was this beast a vampire all along, tending to her needs, fattening her up before eating her ? Well, as they say, the best chance of survival comes from befriending the enemy. She too would pamper the beast before leaving her mark.
