LEIA'S POV
I sat by the cave's entrance, sitting by the small pile of luggage we had decided we were going to bring. I cupped my chin in my hands, tapping a slim finger against my jaw in my impatiance. I watched as Alouette stood before the cave in her full dragon form, her flat fore head pressed against the cold walls of the outer cave.
I smiled, the dragon looked so calm, like a sense of clarity had now washed over her. Alou smiled, opening her eyes to stare at the cold rock, before stepping back as she faced me.
" Ready to go ? " I asked, giving a gentle smile.
Alouette gave a small nod, before replying calmly, " It's somehow hard to leave this place, it's grown on me. "
I nodded, giggling quietly as I added " Take as much time as you need, we're in no hurry after all. "
The dragon gave a smile in her thanks, looking back at the entrance as she sat down with a small ' thump ', inspecting each little detail the hard surface had to offer. To me, it was just a hole in the side of a rocky hill. But to her, I couldn't imagine what it was like; to her it had grown to be something like a home.
I looked down at my feet, stretching out my legs so that some rays of sunshine reached the toes of my shoes. I couldn't remember what my past home was like; becase honestly, it didn't feel like home. All that place reminded me of was greif, death, and regret. Nothing homely in the slightest.
By the time I had snapped away from my thoughts, Alouette had risen to her feet, sliding a leather strap across her lower back, hooking all of the bags onto the sides like one would to a horse.
" Let's go, " Alouette said, smiling as she did.
I nodded, giving one more look to the cave before walking quietly over to Alou's side, hoisting myself up onto her back as I sat by the nook of her back.
This was it, no turning back.
Time for my new story to begin.

A/N: I actually went back and deleted the two chapters I had written, I decided that this story should stay the way I had intended; short. I didn't know where to go with it, so I've made this descision <3
Hope this is okay, I just wasn't okay with continuing. Although !! I am on the process of writing a story called ' In Memory of Us '. Which is a lesbian teen romance. I want to write the first three to four chapters before posting anything, so I know for sure that I want to continue with it.
