As soon as everyone made it back home, Aubrey got into her notes on serial killers she had for her law class. She gave Beca all the intel she had on Cletus Kasady, he said he killed more than 11 people and he wasn't lying. When the cops questioned him, he practically bragged about the other murders he committed. Apparently he made his first kill when he was only 8years old, when he pushed his grandmother down the stairs. Afterwards he tried to kill his mother, then tortured their dog to death. Realizing what a little monster her son was, the mom then tried to kill Kasady, but was evidently beaten to death by her husband. However, Cletus didn't offer any defense for his father and he therefore got the chair. He was sent to the St. Estes Home for Boys, where his antisocial behavior made him a target of abuse from both the other orphans and the staff. He gained vengeance by murdering the disciplinarian administrator, shoving a girl, who laughed at him for asking her on a date, in the path of an oncoming bus and then burned down the orphanage. There wasn't much left of Kasady after that, besides the fact that he grew up to be a serial killer. Although, his history convinced the jury that instead of jail or death he needed help, therefore got sent to Ravencroft. The psychiatrist who interviewed him said otherwise, that he had a philosophy that life was meaningless and futile and laws were just words, that causing random and unpatterned bloodshed was the ultimate freedom. He had some serious issues no doubt about it.

"And he escaped just two days before his transfer to Riker's island" Aubrey added with a sad and frustrated nod. Everyone sat around the living room table, looking through the notes provided by the former captain.

"That still doesn't explain how the hell he got with a symbiote" Beca sighed, aggressively brushing her hand through her brown curls.

"There may not be one" Amy included. "But bottom line, he has it and he's going to use it"

"So what're you gonna do?" Emily asked.

Beca let out a deep sigh, not liking her options or chances at this rate. "He'll be looking for me, I can already tell that much" she noted. "I guess I'll just hafta go out and face him" she shrugged.

"Alright, well, let's all get going" Chloe commanded.

"No! He's a deranged killer and can easily kill all of you, I hafta face him alone" she argued without hesitation. Chloe was left speechless, caught between not wanting her to go and knowing she couldn't argue.

"But beca" Stacie pleaded. "You know what ur up against"

"I know, but I don't have another choice, he's out there waiting, and he's only going to cause more havoc until I stop him" she stated. "Please guys, let me do this, I can stop him, I just need you guys to trust me. I'll find a way, I always do, I'll beat him" she nearly begged, no-one else able to speak, so after a minute she just made her way upstairs to grab her suit.

As she zipped up her spidey suit and grabbed her mask, she heard the footsteps of her redheaded fiancee come through the doorway. "I know chloe, I know" she sighed, turning to meet the ginger. "This is worse than usual and I'm breaking my-"

"Stop, please" chloe interrupted, holding a hand up to stop the brunette. "I know there's no way I can stop you, and you said you would take a break until the world's, which you did and I'm very proud of you for doing so" she stated calmly and assuringly, but looked to be on the verge of tears. "But now it looks like the city needs you more than we do now" she added, beca surprised at how well she was handling this and allowing her to do so. "Just promise me u'll come back ok?" she quietly sobbed, her face mere inches away.

Beca's own tears started to form as she cupped her future bride's cheeks and placed a sweet kiss on her lips. "I always do" she whispered once the kiss ended, and then resumed the kiss, letting it deepen and the moment sink in before it was time to go.
