Chapter 14

Hollis' P.O.V.

"Hollis! Wake up! I have some surprises for you!!!" I heard a familiar voice say. I knew it was Kit.

"What do you want?" I asked him rolling over and putting a pillow over my head.

"I have a surprise for you!" He said. I removed the pillow from over my head and looking at him.

"What?" I questioned.

"I have a woman here for you to meet. She will be your lady in waiting! Meet Alice!" A woman that looked about the same age as me walked in my room. I looked up at Kit and laughed.

"Nice to meet you!" Alice said extending her hand.

"Nice to meet you too! Im sorry Kit was so rude and invited you in while I was still in bed!" I replied sitting up and shaking her hand. She laughed and smiled at me.

"No worries. Honestly, its too early for me too!" She said.

"I like her!" I told Kit.

"I thought you would! She is a little more edgy and I thought she would work well for you!" Kit said. "You have designers coming in today to help you design your dress! I have to get fittings today too!" He said kissing my head and walking out. I sat up and stretched. Alice went somewhere and walked back with some for me to wear today. I guess I wasn't going to wear my old clothes anymore. The guards walked in the room.

"Hollis, the designer is here for you now." They said. Alice and I walked down to the portrait room and sat with the designer.

"Hello Hollis! Very nice to meet you!! I have some designs here that I would like to show you!" The man said. He pulled out some papers with sketches on them. "I don't know your style yet so I have very different designs! Tell me about yourself and what you would like to wear!" He asked.

"Well, I grew up without anything. I was a servant here and I was always covered in dirt and saw amazing women here and in the best dresses and when I would look down, I would always look like a pile of dirt. So I want to look clean, elegant, and dramatic. I love sparkle and big and dramatic. I know I have to wear something that covers me. I like illusion neck lines and just something princess like!" I told him. He smiled and looked down at his sketch pad and was drawing something.

"I have some ideas. Hold on a second." He said. One of the guards brought in some food. I hadn't eaten yet. They had fresh fruit from the garden. I couldn't wait.

"Could you please bring me some yogurt? I haven't eaten today yet." I asked the guard. He nodded and walked off. It felt weird to ask someone to get me something. He came back with my food quickly. I thanked him and looked at the papers my designer put down.

"Any of these strike an interest?" He asked me. I looked at the designs and they were all beautiful but there was one that really struck my interest.

"I love this one!" I picked up a design with a very over the top dress. "Could we incorporate some crystals and I have my mothers wedding dress and I want to have it in the dress somehow." I told him grabbing the box with my moms dress.

"Of course! I'm gonna take some measurements and get started on the dress!" He said. I smiled and he grabbed his tape measure and started to measure around me. This was all getting very exciting.

Kit's P.O.V.

I was getting my uniform for the wedding sorted out today. I also was starting to plan who was coming to the wedding. While everyone was doing my fittings, I was having the captain write down names of people that have to come. A lot of the people are royal and I don't know them very well. Its weird but a must. Im not sure what color Hollis wants my uniform for the wedding but right now we are just doing a base idea. There was a knock on the door. Captain went and got it. I could tell his face dropped. He was talking to the person and I could tell he didn't want anyone to be alarmed.
