It took us about 20 minutes to get from Cheddars to what seemed like Hollywood Park. Even though I've been living in Houston since I was born, I had never been to Hollywood Park-until now. "Trey?" I started as we pulled up into the parking lot. "Is this Hollywood Park?" "Yep." After he had parked, I didn't waste any time getting out of the car. I hurried up the ginormous hill with Trey trailing behind me. "Aye! Wait for me!" I heard him yell from behind me. I started to laugh and then stopped when I looked up at the sky from the top of the hill. "Wooww.." were the only words I was able to say at the moment. "Damn you're fast." Trey said when he finally caught up to me. I didn't reply to him and I guess that's when he noticed that I was mesmerized by the sunset. "Isn't it beautiful?" he asked as he took my hand putting it inside his. I took my eyes from the sky and looked at Trey. "Yeah, it is." "You want to know what else is beautiful?" he asked looking me in my eyes. I already knew what he was about to say but I decided to go ahead and let him tell me. "What?" I answered. "That red Lamborghini over there." he said gesturing his head to the direction of the car. That was not what I was expecting him to say and I have to admit I was kind of hurt, but I didn't want him to know that. "Oh cool." I said glancing at the car then back at the sky. He let go of my hand and sat down on the grass then looked up at me. "Care to join me?" he asked. I really didn't want to but I did anyway. "Trey.." I began to say. "Yeah?" "Nevermind." I couldn't tell him what I wanted to say. It just doesn't feel-I don't know, right. My heart was telling me, "Just tell him you love him and you want to be his girlfriend." but my mind was telling me the complete opposite. I don't know why but I chose to listen to my mind instead of my heart and that's not like me to do something like that.

We stayed on top of the hill for 30 minutes after the sun had went down. I honestly was ready to go home but I didn't want to hurt his feelings and fuck up his night. Pulling out my phone for the first time since I been out with Trey I noticed I had 1 missed call from my mom, 5 missed calls from Selena 20 messages total from 6 different people, and a shit load of notifications. "You're bored aren't you?" Trey asked startling me. "Oh um, my bad." I said back. "It's ok if you are. If you're ready to go home I'll take you. It has been a long day-for the both of us." I could hear the disappointment in his voice and I tried my hardest not to cry but I guess I didn't do a good job. Tears started forming in my eyes and before I knew it I felt one run down my cheek. Trey put his thumb up to my face and wiped the tear off my cheek. "What's wrong? Why you're crying did I say something wrong?" he said in the cutest and most sincere tone. "N-no, I j-just don't want y-you to be m-mad at me...." I tried to reply in between sobs. He quickly replied saying, "What? Mad? Why would I be mad?" in a worried type of voice. "Because ever since we left Cici's I've been acting like a bitch. I truly enjoyed everything that you did for me today. Trey you're the greatest best friend a girl can have and I feel like all I did was take you for granted. I love you Trey Thomas I really do. Ever since 7th grade I have had feelings for you and they have been growing stronger stronger every year we were together. Even when we had our moment when we weren't talking I missed you like crazy and I still loved you!" I said all in one breath. "Angela I-I don't know what to say. I mean, I didn't know you felt that way." he paused for a quick moment then started talking again. "The feeling that you've been having since 7th grade is the same feeling I've been have for you since the first time I met you. I put this on my life that no other girl that I ever dated is anything compared to you and even when I was with them I still wanted to be with you." I could feel my eyes starting to water again and before I could hide my face Trey pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear. "I love you Angela and I want you to be mine. Everything that I did today I did just so I can do this..." At that moment he let go of me and got on one knee while digging in his pocket. "Trey what are you-" He put his finger over his mouth signaling me to be quiet. "Can you promise me that one day in the future you'll be mine? Please? If I can't have you as my girlfriend I don't know what I'll do." And as soon as he said that he opened his hand reviling a little black box with a purple diamond ring. "Trey I-" I couldn't even finish my sentence. Tears started rolling down my face like a waterfall. "Trey I promise!" I half yelled while leaning in for a kiss. "Thank God." he whispered with our lips still touching. My lips instantly went into a smile and we continued kissing until almost midnight.
