Chapter 17

Angela

"IM NOT MAD! DAMN.." I texted Trey. "Angela, I know you are. Just tell me why??" "I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." I turned off my phone and put it on the charger. I didn't feel like being bothered by anybody and Trey wasn't making it any better. I know that's he my boyfriend and that when I'm upset he's going to want to know what's wrong, but him constantly asking me why I was mad was irritating me. And whether I told him what was wrong or not, he wouldn't understand.

I laid down on my bed and tried to go to sleep. It was already 11:00pm and I knew that if I couldn't go to sleep by now I wasn't going to any time soon. I kept thinking about earlier today when Selena, Isabella, and I were at Trey's house. The whole time we were there we just sat around and ate snacks while talking about the memories we had with Isabella before she left. I was actually having fun until Isabella said something that changed my whole mood. "Trey you remember when we were outside and you and Angela were sitting under that tree and I came to chill with y'all and when Angela left we kissed?" were the words that came out of her mouth. I knew that the kiss was years ago so that didn't really bothered me, what bothered me was when she started feeling all over him and flirting and he didn't do anything about it. She just got back from wherever she was and already she was trying to ruin my relationship-AGAIN.

~FLASHBACK TO 4TH GRADE~

Trey and I sat under the big Oak Tree they had in the far left corner of the school playground laughing and talking. "Angela I-" "HEY Y'ALL!" Isabella said cutting Trey off from telling me something. Just great. "Hey Bella." I said trying to sound nice. "Can I sit with y'all? I can't find Lena." she said. I knew she was lying because I could see Selena looking for us from a distance. "There she go." I said pointing in the direction of Selena. But it was too late she had already sat down between Trey and I talking to him like I didn't even exist. "I'm going to go." "Ok." both of them said together not even looking up at me to see if I was still there or not. As I was walked away I could hear Isabella's loud high-pitched laugh and when I looked back to see what was so funny-I seen it. They were face-to-face kissing.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

I felt a tear run down my face and I immediately whipped it away. Wasn't no way in hell I was going to let her take my man away from me again.

The next morning I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, then called Selena for a ride to school. I didn't feel like riding to school with Trey because I knew he was going to bring up the situation from yesterday. As I walked to Selena's dad's car I noticed Isabella in the backseat;she was the last person I wanted to see or talk to today. The whole car ride to school was quiet and awkward for some reason but I honestly didn't care.

We arrived at school a few minutes early so we decided to go chill in the gym. "Hey where Trey?" James asked startlingly me. "Huh..? Oh um..I don't know." "You ok Ang?" "Yeah I'm fine, imma go call Trey and see where he's at." I left the gym making sure nobody was following behind me and started walking down the hall. While searching for my phone, I bumped into somebody and when I tried to walk around them they grabbed my arm and pulled me back. Fuck. "What's wrong with you?" Trey asked. "Nothing." "I don't know what I did but I'm sorry ok?" He replied looking me in the eye. "I love you baby." It took me a while to reply back to him but I eventually told him 'I love you too' and walked back to the gym with him by my side. Even though I was still mad at Trey for letting Isabella do that shit to him, I wasn't about to give her the satisfaction that she won again. Trey is mine and only mine.
