I Need You

Tobias POV:

"Tris, Wait!", I yell after her, "I'm sorry, come back!"
Tris stops running and turns around and looks at me with a wild look in her eyes.
"I can't believe you." She says. By the tone of her voice I can tell she won't be able to forgive me.
Last night I went with Christina to the Dauntless headquarters because she said she needed to talk with me.
When we got there, she started talking about how she misses Will, and how I've been a great friend to her lately. And before I even realized it, Christina leaned in and kissed me. I should have pulled away and explained to her, but I didn't.
The next day I told Christina that I didn't mean anything by last night and that I love Tris. No one could replace her, and she understood.
I thought Tris would understand the same way. I was wrong.
"Tris, I told you, I only kissed her back because I felt pity for her!", I start to say. "It's something I couldn't stop myself from doing."
"No. It's a choice. I don't know if I can forgive you." Tears start to stream down her face.
I start to walk towards her, "Tris...", I begin to say, "I still love you more than anything, I need you."
I slowly give her a hug, waiting for her to push me away, or yell at me, But she doesn't.
I squeeze her tight and sigh, maybe it will be alright. I pull away just enough to look in her eyes. I cradle her face in my hands and wipe her tears away with my thumb and she smiles a little.
"I love you too, Tobias", she says.
