We stood there like a baby deer caught in headlights, shocked, our jaws completely dropped, half of Jessica’s bags fell to the ground. “Hi girls!” the five angelic voices echoed from inside the elevator. “Hi boys!” our five voices synchronised as we tried to play it cool. “Would you girls please catch the next lift up,” one of the security guards grunted as he firmly placed his finger on the up button, the elevator doors quickly shutting behind, but not before the boys gave us a wave goodbye.
“Did we just actually see One Direction waving & talking to us,” Natalie said still startled from the event just moments before.
“That did just happen to us! Of all people, us!” replied Emily with the biggest smile on her face. “Though why were they in board shorts? Not that I’m complaining.”
We all piled in the next lift up & raced down the hallway of level 21 to our room, dumped our One Direction items on the beds & logged into Jacqui’s Facebook & Twitter account to see where the boys had been. It was a mere 20 minutes after we left the hotel that they had arrived, although they left pretty much straight away for a day out on Sydney Harbour. “Ah hence the board shorts, look they went for a dip in the Harbour,” Shalima pointed out as we scrolled through the shirtless pictures of the boys. “Well girls, looks like this is going to be a perfect holiday,” replied Natalie, “Well let’s get ready & we’ll go down to the hotel restaurant for dinner.”
We ordered & were seated outside on the balcony overlooking the Sydney Harbour with the Opera House light up so beautifully. “Well hello there strangers,” declared a deep mysterious voice from behind. We all turned at the same time to see who it was behind us thinking it was someone talking to the people seated behind us. No, it was Harry followed by Liam & Niall. “Can us lads join you lovely ladies?” Liam’s angelic voice made everyone’s heart melt with his British accent but especially Emily’s. You see we all had a crush on each member of One Direction Emily’s being Liam, Natalie’s was Niall, Shalima had hers on Harry, Jacqui on Louis & Jessica’s crush was on Zayn.
“You’re missing two,” stated Shalima.
“Oh yeah, they escaped about 2 hours ago, Paul’s out with a few people trying to find them now in the city,” Niall interrupted.
The evening continued, we ended up watching the sun set behind Sydney Opera House while dining with the boys. It was so lovely and peaceful sitting out on the balcony with no one else around. We got to see the boys for who they really were, yes they were humorous an irresistible just like in all their videos but sitting having a real conversation with them was just magical. Nothing else mattered; it was just us girls & the boys. By the end of the night we had inside jokes with them, we were living every teenage girls dream & were definitely not taking this for granted.
“Boys! Beds now!” Paul was standing at the restaurant door with Zayn & Louis beside him, he did not look happy at all. Harry, Niall & Liam trotted off towards Paul giving each of us a kiss on the cheek before walking off. We could hear Paul lecturing all 5 boys as it echoed through the hotel corridor, then nothing.
“Wow! This must be a dream, it can’t be real,” Jacqui sighed.
“Jacqui, believe it or not but this is real!” Jessica replied smiling.
“Well girls, I think we better head up, early rise for their Sunrise interview tomorrow!” Natalie stated followed by yawns from all.
