We each stood at the door of our hotel room in front of the individually wrapped packages. Each gift was wrapped in newspaper tied with red & white ribbon. To tell whose was whose each present had attached a small card with our first initial stamped with red glitter. “Well I don’t know about you but I have a small suspicion that these may be from the boys,” suggested Natalie.
“They must have put them here on their way to interviews this morning, because they weren’t there this morning!” Jessica stated. We all decided to open them inside the room because who knows what lay inside. As we walked to our beds to sit for a minute on each bed was placed a dozen roses with a heart card & chocolates sitting on our pillows. “Oh my goodness,” Jacqui said as her eyes filled with tears “this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me, ever.” As we were still unsure who left the gifts & broke into our room with roses we decided to open the heart cards first. In each card was beautifully written “- Harry x (in Shalima’s), - Louis x (in Jacqui’s), - Liam x (in Emily’s), - Niall x (in Natalie’s) & - Zayn x (in Jessica’s)”
It took a good 5 – 10 minutes to come to grips with things. As a teenage girl you always dream of meeting your idols, falling in love, have them fall in love with you, get married & have their children. The fact that we were living our dreams was quite surreal, actually unbelievable! After coming to terms with things it was time to open the beautifully scrapbooked package left at our door, like in a romantic movie. Pulling the lid off the wrapped box we found One Direction concert tickets to their first Sydney show with a letter. The letter read:
“We hope you girls are enjoying your stay in Sydney, we had a couple of these lying around & thought we would give them to some of the most wonderful girls we’ve met. Hope this makes your holiday even better than it is now. Looking forward to seeing you there looking as beautiful as you did the night in the restaurant. – Your boys x”
After reading the letter we all looked down at our tickets. “FIRST ROW, STANDING!” Emily shouted.
“What! Are you serious, this can’t be, tickets sold out in 3 minutes!” you could hear how excited Shalima was about first row standing tickets, “I just want to run up & hug them!” she continued.
“So tomorrow are we going to just stick around the hotel all day & then start getting ready late afternoon-ish?” suggested Jacqui as we were all still astounded with the generous gift we received from the boys. For the rest of the day we just stuck to our room danced to One Direction, chatted about how our lives had turned around so dramatically & ended up ordering room service & had an early dinner.
About half an hour after we ordered there was a knock at the door. “Room service!” a sweet innocent voice called from outside of our room.
Natalie looked up at us confused, “does that voice sound familiar to you or is it just me?” she questioned.
