Chapter 13

*Megs POV*

Today is the day my parents finally get home. It's good because I miss them, but I'm nervous about what they are going to thnk about all of this. We have had the boys over all day  for a few days. I know they are our friends and so do all of our parents, but I just don't know what they are going to think about us all being together and especially them spending the night two days in a row. Oh well. Let's just make today even more fun than it has been. "Want to do something fun today all together?," I asked. " Like what?," Kayla said. "Maybe just have some fun outside? Like go in the pool and have snacks and have a fire. What do you think about that?," I ask all of them. Kayla was first to answer. "Yeah! That sound really fun!" Lindsey and Shawn are pretty excited too. Lindsey is crazy and she likes being outside. Hayes also seems pretty happy about how today should be. "Yeah! Lets do it! Should we invite some of the other guys?," Hayes asks excitedly. I tell him yeah but only them, we don't need anyone else over here. I guess I should text my parents to tell them what's happening and pray for the best as Hayes, Cam and Shawn all call and text everyone else to come over.

Meg: Hi mom! Okay so I'm going to make this short. Basically, Kayla, Linds, and I have all been here

Oh my god I love her she doen't even care

Meg's mom: Hey Meg! And ooo ;) Have you been good with boys over?

Meg: Yeah but... Don't get mad, you know how I've liked Hayes for a while? We kind of both liked each other and are dating now. Please don't be mad!

Meg's mom: Aww, That's great! Cute! How are Kayla and Linds?

Meg: I'll fill you in later because there's so much to tell you actually. See you later! Love you! I have to go because we are gunna have a mini pool party.

Meg's mom: Alright! Be good, have fun, don't get too crazy with the boys there! Love you too

I love my mom... I mean who doesn't? She's so layed back and she understands me and boys and I can always talk to her about everything and so can Kayla and Lindsey. Let's get this party set up!

*Cameron's POV*

Today is going to be so fun! Just a day by the pool and hanging out with everyone. Kayla looks really pretty right now, I mean she always does, but her hair is half up half down and she is wearing a dress! I've never seen her in one until now! Can she not be so perfect? It makes me just want her to be mine even more. I just want to kiss her right now, again... Lindsey keeps whispering to her and they keep looking at me. What are they doing? Talking about me? Probably about something good, right? I mean they are smiling and Lindsey's making her giggle. Lindsey came up to me as Kayla stayed where she was, but then walked away swaying side to side slowly. Lindsey asks me, "So Cameron I have a question." I ask her, "What might that be?" "Well," she says, "you know how Kayla likes you?" I nod and say yeah why? She told me that I should ask her out... Oh my god. "I'm just so nervous and I don't really know how to do it and what to do and if she wants to be mine yet," I say. She tells me that Kayla has talked to her about me asking her out before, like every day she says at least one thing about me. Maybe this is the day that I will ask her. I hope I have enough courage to. Lindsey tells me that it's worth it and that we would be a cute couple. I tell her, "I guess I'll try and ask today. Maybe I can find some time to get her alone and ask her." She whisper screams and says, "Ahh! Yay! I won't tell her anything. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I'm going to go so this isn't too suspicious now! Good luck Cam!," she says as she winked at me and ran away to hang out with Meg and Kayla. I am so nervous right now, so I take some deep breaths. Okay, now I'm good. I go out front to see that only Aaron and Taylor were here so far. I say hi to them and all three of us were talking and Kayla just stood next to me the whole time, since she was kind of shy. I have my arm around her waist and we are just looking at each other and then looking away every few moments. "Lets go back in the back yard Kayla. Taylor, you and Aaron can come too if you want or you can wait out front for everyone else to get here with Meg and Hayes. Aaron and Taylor decide to just stay out front, so I lock arms with Kayla and we head out back. Lindsey and Shawn were out back too. Lindsey saw me and she told Shawn that they should go out front to wait for everyone and check on Meg and Hayes. This is my chance. I lead Kayla over to the swings and I sit down. I told her to sit on my lap, so we could swing together. "I have to ask you something Kayla," I say while I clear my throat. "Yeah?" she says looking at me in the eyes while smiling very slightly. "I've been wanting to ask you, umm, will you do the honors of being my girlfriend, Kayla? I love you more than I ever thought was possible. Its fine if you just want to be friends though," I tell her. "Oh my god Cam! Am I dreaming? I'd love to!," she says and leans in to hug me. I look at her and tell her how much I love her. Then, it happened again. I kissed her. I kissed Kayla. It was even better than before. It was a little more passionate. We stay on the swings and keep talking about everything we love about each other, which is actually quite a lot.

*Shawn's POV*

Cam and Kayla went in the back yard and Lindsey and I left so they could be alone for a little bit. Lindsey tells me why we left them back there together for a while; Cam asked Kayla out! I could tell that would happen sooner or later, but it's so cute! They are perfect for each other. She told Meg and Hayes too, but she doesn't know if we should talk about it too much around the other guys, since we don't know what they'll think about them together. Next thing we knew, almost everyone was here. Only Nash wasn't here. We decide to just begin the party without him. All of the girls looked really beautiful in their dresses. All of the boys were just kind of dressed down, but none of the girls cared. All of us head out back to go in the pool first, since it was over 80 degrees outside. All of us guys took our shirts off as we make our way onto the pool deck. We eat for a little bit and all just talk. I walk over to Lindsey because I had spent most of my time recently just talking to the guys. Meg, Kayla, and her were kind of being shy because they don't know all of the boys too well. Lindsey went inside. Why did she do that? I need to check on her. I walk into Meg's house. "Hey, Lindsey?," I shout around the house. "Yeah?," I finally hear her say. She is in the lounge upstairs. I headed up thereto see why she came in. "What's wrong?" She just says it's nothing which I could tell was a lie. I just could see it in her face. "I'm just bored, and there is one other thing too, but it isn't important...," Lindsey says with a fake half smile. I go and sit next to her with one arm around her, pulling her head to my shoulder. "What is the 'unimportant' thing? I want to help because you just seem a little sad.  What's up?," I ask her. "I just have been thinking about these last few days and," she started. What? Was something wrong? Did she lie to me or something? Did she really like me? "And what? Did I do anything wrong?," I say  sounding almost scared. "No! You didn't do anything wrong! Actually, you did everything perfect. From the laser tag to the cuddling, it's just everything was so perfect and I've been looking back at the last few days... and um," she tells me. I'm really relieved. It wasn't wrong, it was perfect. She loved these last days. There was a silence. She finishes her sentence with, "And I'm realizing how much more I like you than I even thought I did at first. Literally everything about you is a dream come true. It was a crush, but now I'm in love." Yesss. She loves me for sure now. "You are too sweet. I feel the same about you. I never thought someone like you would like a guy like me." We get up and hug for the longest time swaying back and forth. "I love you Lindsey," I say into her ear softly. "I love you too Shawn," she says, muffling it into my bare chest. At last, we pull apart and both have huge smiles on our face. I grab her hand and we go to talk with everyone again. Nash is here too! Let's see how fun we can make today.
