*Kayla'a POV*
Lindsey and Shawn aren't in the pool yet. They are just having a normal conversation on the porch. I keep checking on them by glancing over at them. Shawn was really antsy. I am kind of confused. Maybe it's just me. I can hear them talking about finally coming in the pool with us! Yay! "Okay I'll be right there, you can get in now," he told her and signals me over to him. I tell Cam, "I'll be right back. I think Shawn has to talk to me for a little bit. Be right back." Cam is fine with it and he yells to Lindsey, "Come on! Just jump in. We can play a game of volleyball in the water! Kayla has to go to the bathroom." At least he made up an excuse for me. He pulled me over to the side of the house to talk to me about something. "Can I have your advice on something Kayla?," Shawn asks me quietly. "Yeah! Of course! Anything," I say back to him quietly. He takes a deep breath. "So you know who I like right?," Shawn asks me. He never really told me who, but it's obvious. "I don't really think you ever told me," I say, pretending I don't know who it is. "Well, I think I can trust you... I like Lindsey. I told her the other night and she likes me back. We've bonded a lot and told each other so much about ourselves and I want to be more than friends...," he says smiling at the ground. "That is too cute! It would be cool for you to be her first boyfriend," I say nudging his arm. He looks at me and says, "So you don't think it's too soon? Or too weird that all of us will have started dating around the same time?" I reassuringly tell him, "It's not weird or too soon! If you really like someone, it really doesn't matter when you start dating! Go for it! Ask her to be your girlfriend!" He thanks me for the advice and says he will try to find the perfect time to ask her. Then we head into the pool to play a game of volleyball in the pool.
*Meg's POV*
We finished our game of volleyball and all of us get out and dry off. Hayes and I had the best time! He would pick me up, so that I could hit the ball. We just made it so fun! I love doing cute couple things with him. We also ordered a pizza earlier because all of us are lazy, so we ate that and shortly after, most of the boys left. The last ones to leave were Mac and Nash because Cam was talking to Nash about Kayla and Mac was talking to Hayes about our relationship. That left me and Kayla talking to each other about our wonderful boyfriends. "Okay Mac, we should go before Meg's parents get home so they aren't suspicious about anything or mad and stuff," Nash said. Mac says congrats to Hayes again and both of them say goodbye to us. "Okay. There, everyone's gone now," I say relieved. "The house looks fine too! Nothing looks too dirty or messed up either," Cameron says surprised. Where's Shawn and Linds?," I ask them, whispering. They all look around and shrug in response. "Just ignore it. They'll be back when they are ready, I'm sure," Kayla says smiling to herself. "Well, until then, what do you wanna do?," Hayes says. Cam said we should just chalk or something until my parents get home. Everyone seems to be good with that. I grab my bucket of chalk and all of us just immediately began. Hayes drew a heart with an arrow and our names in it. "Aww Hayes that's so cute," Kayla says and I ran up to him and we hug for a little bit and he kisses my temple lightly. We both say I love you and keep chalking. Cam and Kayla both wrote each other's names in bubble letters with hearts around it, right next to one another. Cam pulled Kayla in for a hug too, with his arms around her waist. All of us were just having fun drawing weird things and laughing at each other. Who even thought chalking could be so fun?
*Shawn's POV*
When everyone was leaving, I pull Lindsey to go into the backyard behind the shed so no one could see us and ask what's happening. "Why are we back here?," she asks me. I say, "I think I should talk to you about why I was on my phone earlier. Sorry if that came off rude or anything." I hope she's okay with that. "No, it didn't seem rude! It's fine! Anyways, Why were you acting more fidgety and nervous than usual?," Lindsey asked me. I am really nervous right now and my heart is beating so fast. Why is this so hard for me. Kayla already made me more confident than I was, but I'm still nervous. What if she says no? So many thoughts cloud my mind. "Okay, so I'm going to shorten this up as much as I can," I start. "I was texting a friend about how much I liked you and how I want to be more than friends. I'm not too good with relationship stuff, so I needed his help, and Kayla gave me advice earlier when she went to the 'bathroom' and she's right. The advice she gave me is right. I told her that I thought it would be too soon and weird since we all would start dating at almost the same time. Kayla said that it doesn't matter when. She said that if you really like someone, then you should go for it. I'm choosing her advice because I know I like... err no... I love you Lindsey. My fried said to keep talking to you to make sure this was a final decision, but we have talked about almost anything you could think of and are open and honest with each other already, so I knew it was right. So, Lindsey, will you be my girlfriend?," I say. I'm glad it's out of the way. Now, time for an answer... Lindsey is standing here with her hands covering her face, but I could tell she was smiling and really happy. I smiled after I saw her reaction to my 'short' story about earlier. "Oh my god Shawn... Yes!," she says to me filled with joy, hugging me tight. I hug her back and push her against the shed with one hand on each side of her head. I look at her lips and back up at her eyes. She does the same back. Our lips meet and we kiss each other for the first time as a real couple. As girlfriend and boyfriend. As us. After the kiss, we both just grin about what just happened. "I love you, Shawn," she says looking straight into my eyes. I tell her, "I love you too and always will," before grabbing her hand and drawing circles on it with my thumb as we make our way back out front to go back with Meg, Kayla, Hayes, and Cam. Well, that went better than I thought it would. We are a 'thing' now, and all of the girls are with the loves of their lives now. I hope these relationships all work out for us. We are all really happy now that we have an even better reason to smile.
