<Five>

A few weeks later-
The day went by in a blur, until we were all lined up in cafeteria for lunch. I kept humming to BTS's DNA, their new song. Their songs were so addictive that in a few days time I had already heard all their songs till now on loop. Now I wished to go to one of their fan signs and concerts. And I had also become so addicted to Jin's daddy jokes that when I got a hamburger today for lunch, I just couldn't help but smile, and Debi noticed that.
"You are becoming weird Sikina, why are you smiling at a hamburger, for God's sake?" "Debi, do you know what the colour of hamburger is?" When she looked confused, I said "Burgundy! Burgundy!", and started giggling. Debi looked at me like I had become crazy, but after a while joined me. Far across our table, I noticed Ailee...she had become...different. She used to look at me and Debi like she would gut us the first chance she got, like we had something of hers that she wanted back But was waiting for the right chance. What I just couldn't digest was the fact that she hadn't tortured me these few days, AT ALL. But, I shouldn't get my hopes high just yet.
"Hey Debi, I want to go to their concert, BADLY! Do you have any info?" "I have just the thing...you see my friend from school, she found out that they are gonna have a concert RIGHT HERE!" "What!? When!? Where!?" "I'll tell you if you stop screaming!" I calmed myself down. But when I looked up to Debi, she looked a little down. "What wrong Debi?" "It's right before our exams..." "WHAT? WAE, BIGHIT WAE!?" "Well we can prepare for our exams beforehand, right?" "That's easy for you to say Debi, because what's even worse is that now I'll have to ask my mom." "But your mom doesn't stop you from going anywhere with me..." "Yeah, but what's really gonna stop me is my grades...I haven't been performing well." And I just got a real good smack from Debi for that.

"Mom, there is this concert I want to go to..." "Of BTS, huh? Sure, why do you ask? And by the way...how did you do in that weekly assignment you had? I heard it was really important. Why are you looking down?" "Umm, Mom, about that..." My mom was waiting expectantly to hear the good grades that I had got so she could boast to Ailee's mother about it. I took a deep breath and said, "Mom...I did not do well in that test." "Well, that's no surprise, since all you do nowadays is stare at that guy's picture, what's his name?" "Jin..." "Yeah, whatever it is, he is all over your room! And all over your mind too! Where do you expect to store what you study..." Well, there goes my chance of going to the concert. But I was prepared. "Mom...I promise to score top marks if you let me go to this concert...please, I promise!" And I kneeled down begging...that's how crazy I am for you now Bangtan. My mom just sighed and said, "I'll let you off the hook since it was your first time, but if you don't score well on your next exams young lady, there's no BTS for you anymore!" Ok, this was serious, but I was relieved I could at least convince her. "By the way, I have good news for you Sikina..." "What is it Mom?" "You'll SEE soon enough." Huh, since when did my mom start giving me surprises? Thanks to her, I'll be up all night thinking what my mother had planned for me.
