Chun Hwa's pov

Chun Hwa was walking down the street, feeling like she had been running the entire day. Her legs felt numb while her heart was beating way too hard, making her almost pass out because of exhaustion. Her head was pounding as the streetlights were flickering from red to green to yellow, creating chaos around her as well as in her mind. Without realising she crossed the road, not aware of the screams and the screeching tires, before it was too late.

Time seemed to slow down as headlights were shining in her eyes. " Get away from the speeding car, run away now!" Her subconscious seemed to yell at her, but to no avail. She could do nothing but close her eyes as her entire being seemed to scream at her to move.
The screeching came closer,
the yelling got louder,
she could feel the air shifting around her.
There was no hope anymore, it was over. It was done.

But then a voice cut trough all the others

" You cannot lose that which you are."

Chun Hwa's eyes flew open and shock seemed to take over her body as she saw herself standing there amongst the crowd, desperately mouthing the words. But then the car hit her and she fell on the pavement, and the last thing she heard was herself, screaming for help.

Chun Hwa's eyes opened again, and this time for real, as she quickly sat up. Sweat covered her body as her heart was beating loudly, as if it was trying to break out of her ribcage.
" It was a dream, it was a dream", she kept mumbling repeatedly while putting her face in her hands .

With a tired sigh she let herself fall back on her bed, scared to sleep again in fear of getting the same nightmare again. It has been like this for a while. She'd been having the same dream for months now. She was thinking as hard as she could, but was soon interrupted by a loud voice she knew all too well.

" Well well well, what do we have here?" Jiho asked loudly.

Chun Hwa grumbled under her breath. Knowing that her little brothers who were hiding behind her door, were very much enjoying the show that Jiho was putting up.

" What is that? I didn't quite catch it you see, just like how you never seem to hear any of my calls you bitch." Her best friend said.

" Yah, I was working yesterday and I came home late. I directly fell asleep, otherwise I would have picked up." Chun Hwa mumbled while putting her blanket on her face.

" Yeah yeah whatever, get your lazy ass up we have to go to university, it's Monday", Jiho said while trying to take the blanket off of Chun Hwa's face.

" Leabe mi awlibe!"

" I don't fucking speak alien Chun Hwa, get up or I swear to God I will call Changseong to come wake you up." Jiho threatened.

" What are you talking about, I'm already up don't you see?" Chun Hwa said, suddenly wide awake. Jiho alone was a pain in the ass in the morning, if Chanseong came too, they'd make her want to bang her head on the wall while her day hadn't even properly started.

Eventually they got out of the house, with a lot of yelling from Jiho and a lot of guilty smiles and sorry's from Chun Hwa because they were running late. But fortunately they arrived just on time and bid their goodbyes, for Chun Hwa was studying Psychology and Jiho was studying History. As she walked in the auditorium, a few of her friends raised their hands, indicating they had saved her a seat next to them ( a/n: God bless these kind of friends) .

As the lesson started, it was almost impossible for her to focus. She could feel the emotions of every student in the packed auditorium, vibrating and pulsing, trying to get Chun Hwa to notice them. It was always like this, ever since she was a child, she was confronted with the fact that she could feel what others were feeling.

It was an ability that some in her family had been blessed with, her mother had said.

" Every once in a few centuries, God descends from the heavens on the very first day of winter and looks for the kindest souls he has created. He looks for the ones who shine as bright as his angels in the other world. And when he finds them, he gifts them one of his most important traits. Hope." Chun Hwa had read in her great great great grandmother's diary, who had been blessed with the same abilities.

But was it really a blessing? Chun Hwa had thought so, until the weight of it all started crushing her. How was she supposed to help others when she couldn't even help herself? When she couldn't even save herself from drowning in all of these heavy emotions she felt with just a stare into someone's eyes.

She wanted to fulfill her duty, wanted to use her ability to lead people to happiness. That was also her reason for studying psychology. But now she wasn't so sure anymore. She couldn't even look anyone in the eye, constantly searching for ways to block everything and everyone.

Chun Hwa sighed and put her head on her desk, more than ready to catch up on the sleep she had been missing. Not realising, there was someone in the auditorium with her, stuck in the same kind of hell but with different demons to fight against.

Jimin's pov

Jimin's train of thought was disrupted as the girl who was sitting in front of him, put her head on her desk. " Aish this girl, she's always sleeping", he thought.
(a/n: stop sleepshaming the girl bitchass)

He rested his chin on his hand as he stared at her. She had messy dark hair and a small frame. He always caught himself looking at her from afar, loving the facial expressions she made whenever she was with her friends. Or the way she laughed, with her weird ass laugh. He always forgot her name, but knew that she was friends with Jungkook and Yoongi.

" Why am I even thinking about her, she's so weird", he thought suddenly. And with a final look, he straightened up and tried to concentrate on the lesson.

Trying his best to block out all the emotions he felt coming from all the students around him.   There was a boy sitting next to him who was emitting waves of grief because his phone was out of battery and he couldn't finish watching his episode of glee.

"God help me please", Jimin muttered before putting his own head on his desk too.

Jimin is such a hypocrite y'all
Anyways, I hope this chapter wasn't too boring and you guys like it! I'm just an amateur so please bear with me, I promise I will get better with time.
