We walked out and were greeted by the people at the lunch table. Punzie spoke first.

"Jack, are you okay?" She asked softly, placing a timid hand on my arm. I glanced at Elsa, was she glaring at Punzie? But why? Punzie didn't seem to notice.

"I'm fine, thanks." I said. I looked at Kristoff, he gulped.

"Hockey try outs still open?" I asked. He visibly relaxed and nodded.

"We should get to class before we're late." Hiccup said. Everyone nodded and started walking off, I stayed still. Elsa turned and looked back at me.

"Jack, you coming?" She called.

"I'll catch up with you in a second." I called back. She nodded and continued walking with the rest of the group. I pulled out my wallet and looked at the picture of my parents and sister. They had brown hair and brown eyes and warm smiles. The picture was taken the day my sister died, it was the last time we were all together in the hospital. My sister died of cancer. My parents died in a car crash the following year. That was 5 years ago. I'm over it but still can't let go of the pain and sorrow. I gingerly touched their smiling faces and smiled to myself. I put the picture away and jogged to catch up with the group. Elsa and Punzie smiled at me when I fell into step with everyone.

The rest of the day wore on until it was time to try out for hockey. I walked with Flynn and Kristoff to the locker room while the girls sat in the bleachers to watch practice. Kristoff lent me a plain shirt and basketball shorts to wear. They were baggy due to his masculine build but I didn't mind. I laced up my skates and we wobbled onto the ice. I skated around on the ice for a while, it has been a while since I've been on the ice. When the coach came out I lined up with the rest of the try outers[?].

"Welcome to hockey try outs!" The coach boomed. "I will determine if you are team material based on your skill, reflexes, and quick thinking." He said. I wasn't too worried, hockey was my life. He looked at his clipboard. "Peterson! You're up first! Then Smith, Coulter, Olvera, Mordecai, Rodriguez, and Frost!" He boomed. I watched as the other players skated onto the ice. I noticed some good players with cat-like reflexes. Those were Smith, a short dude with spikey brown hair, and Rodriguez, a tall guy with short brown hair.

And then there were the others.

Coulter, an average height guy with sandy blond hair, kept slipping on the ice and falling.

Olvera, a short guy with shaggy dark hair, kept doing over complicated things to impress the coach and failing horribly.

And Mordecai, a tall-ish guy with long blond hair in a pony tail, kept saying stupid things before he did stuff and laughed...A LOT.

And finally it was my turn. I did all the maneuvers the coach told me to do and answered allhis case scenario questions. When try outs were over, he told us he'd post the results tommorrow and we hit the showers.

After showering, we put on our regular clothes and went to the bleachers to meet the girls. Elsa smiled widely at me.

"Jack that was great!" She said, shaking my shoulders slightly. The rest of the group gave he questioning looks and she removed her hands with a slight blush. The rest of the group turned to me with smiles and nodded in agreement.

"I say we celebrate with some pizza!" Anna said with a clap of her hands. The rest nodded in agreement. They started walking towards a van. I guessed it was Kristoffs since he had the keys.

"Yo Flynn!" I called. Flynn walked back to where I was standing.

"Yeah, Jack?" He asked. I nervously ran my hand through my hair.
