I woke up the next morning with Rapunzel still in my arms. I sighed, knowing I would have to leave, and gently removed myself from her. She grunted a little when I softly pushed her away. I was scared she was going to wake up, but luckily she didn't and instead turned over to her other side. I bent down and kissed her on the forehead before exiting from the window. I shoved my hands in my pockets and made my way back home. This is how most nights went, but not always this bad. Most nights I just wanted a place to escape, but on rare occasions it was because I needed physical or emotional aid that only she could provide.
I looked out at the thin line of color that was creeping up on the horizon. Deciding I didn't want to go home quite yet, I wandered over to the pond that sat in the middle of the neighborhood. I found a large rock and sat down in a little dip and rested my back against the cool surface. I looked out at the still water and took in the sight of the morning colors reflecting on the surface. It was moments like those that kept me sane. Those quiet, peaceful moments when I was alone and there was no one there to bother me. I closed my eyes and let the morning breeze sweep across my face. I breathed in the cold air one last time before opening my eyes again. I lazily got off the rock and made my way back home.
When I got back, my dad was, as expected, knocked out on the couch with an empty bottle of some sort of alcohol in his hand and his mouth hanging open. I quietly went up to my room and got ready for the day.
^^Punzie's POV^^
I woke up the next morning to find Flynn was already gone. I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, thinking about Flynn. I really do feel sorry for him, and it tears me up inside whenever he comes over for support- which is quieter often...too often. I stood up and left my bedroom, heading to the bathroom. I turned on the hot water and waited for the water to turn warm before stepping into the shower. I felt the water wash over my body and closed my eyes for a while before washing my body and stepping out.
I dried off and wrapped the towel around my body before going back to my room and picking out my clothes. I decided on a purple top with loose fitting arms and a pair of jeans. After brushing my long hair, I laced on a pair of grey converse.
I walked out of my room and out into the living room. I don't have a big house, not that I need one. My room door opened up into a small hallway, the bathroom across the hall and a spare room to the right. The left is the living room, which is one big room that connects to the living room. A bar separates the two rooms and the dining room is connected to the kitchen.
I crossed the living room and into the kitchen. I took out a package of Poptarts from the pantry. Walking over to the counter, I opened the silver packet and placed the strawberry filled pastrys in the toaster. My parents didn't have to go to work until later, so I was the only one awake. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and put on some music. A smile came across my face when one of my favorite songs started playing. I quietly sang along as I prepared my breakfast.
"A drop in the ocean,
a change in the weather.
I was praying that you and me might end up together.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the dessert,
but I'm holding you closer than most,
cuz you are my heaven."
I stopped singing when the Poptarts popped up from the toaster. I quickly pulled them out, not wanting to burn my fingers, and threw them on a plate. I filled a glass with milk and took my food and drink to the dining table. I started eating and continued listening to the song.
I don't wanna waste the weekend,
If you don't love me, pretend.
A few more hours, the. it's time to go.
In New England as the leaves change,
the last excuse that I'll claim:
I was a boy who loved a woman like a little girl.
But still I can't let you be,
most night's I hardly sleep.
Don't take what you don't need
from me.
A drop in the ocean,
a change in the weather.
I was praying that you and me might end up together.
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert,
but I'm holding you closer than most,
cuz you are my heaven.
You are my heaven!
As I finished my small breakfast, I put my plate in the sink and packed my bag for school.
With no time to spare, I dashed out of the house and made my way to the bus stop.

Heyyy! I know It's been a while since I've updated, but school is taking its toll and I've been super busy!
When I was writing the first part, I was listening to Coldplay, so if it seems a bit mellow, then you know why.
The second part I was listening to Disney spotify, so it's not that depressing.
I am all wired up and adrenaline is coursing through my veins! I was at a party and we were doing karaoke. My friend was going but didn't want to go alone, so I went with her. We didn't now what to sing but everyone said to sing Let it go, so we did! At first I was kinda shy, but by the end I was freaking yelling the lyrics along with everyone else and it was great! But then my mom showed up (cuz it was the end of the party) so I had to go. During the song tho, two of my guy friends joined us and it was great!
So yeah!
I know the chapter was very very very short, and I'm sorry, but I wanted to give you something.
