The next thing I knew...I found myself in a barren wasteland, from what it looked like. The sky was pure black...and the ground itself had no grass...yet it was still cold. I found myself staring at some sort...of being. I'll be damned if I ever knew what the hell it was. He was tall...he had long, white hair going down his back, and his eyes...his iris, they were crimson red. He looked like he was wearing some sort of ancient robe...you know, one similar to a samurai's robe. From what I saw...he had red flames dancing around his body...energy? It definitely wasn't the color of fire. He also held a staff in his left hand. I sighed softly. "Who are you?" I ask. I won't lie...I desired answers...especially to the fact on why I couldn't remember who the hell I was. "The bigger question, dear boy, is who are you?" The man...being...thing replied. I remained speechless. "Did you just fucking read my mind?!" I snapped. The male laughed. "That, I did, boy." He had a point however. I couldn't remember my own name, let alone who I was. Next thing I know, the male starts laughing. I only blinked, obviously confused. "Don't worry about it. Everyone that dies loses their memory." The male said to me. It was hard to tell if he was trying to comfort me...or mock me, at the moment I didn't really care. "Deep inside, you wanted a second chance...so I'm here to give it to you." The male explained. I only blinked again. "And I repeat my question. Who. Are. You?" I ask once more. The male sighed softly and shook his head. "I am Kira." The male began to explain. "I am the Lord of the Abyss. I guide the Lost Souls that have perished in the world of the living into the safe haven of the Abyss." That really didn't make any sense to me to be honest. "Since when is a hellhole like this a safe place?!" I exclaimed. The male chuckled and then spoke once more. "The safe haven lies deeper into the Abyss...you are only at the edge, where the Sinners walk." Kira explained. It made more sense now. I'm a Sinner. I sighed softly and shook my head. "Come...I will take you to the Safe Haven...since you desire a second chance...I will explain your past there." Kira explained...then he extended his arm, reaching out to me. I blinked...and walked towards him...but I wasn't moving on my own...next thing I knew, everything went black.
After what seemed like an hour of seeing nothing but darkness and hearing nothing but silence, I was able to see once again. It was strange...it was like he had total control over me. But unlike the previous area, which was completely void of life...the area I was in now...it had life. Souls...billions upon billions of souls were walking around...what looked like a village of some sort. There were even grass and sunlight. Most of the souls, however, were glaring at me, like I was some sort of devil. "What's their problem...?" I muttered under my breath. But beyond the village...was a castle. A old...grey castle. It was...kinda ugly to be honest. There weren't many features to it...just windows, cracks, and finally, a door at the bottom of the castle. I only arched an eyebrow at the sight. "Come." Kira ordered as he walked off. I only followed silently. I desperately tried to avoid eye contact from the other souls...I honestly didn't understand why they were glaring at me. "So...how long have I been dead?" I ask. "Fifteen thousand years." Kira replied. I jolted back, my body suddenly paralyzed. I was shocked. My family...my friends...all...gone. "Fifteen...thousand?!" I exclaimed. "Come!" Kira's voice boomed, and the best way I could explain it, is that it felt like a rope was tugging at my waist, and I began walking again. We then entered the castle. "How...did I die?" I asked. Kira remained silent. "My name...?" I ask. Kira remained silent still...when I thought I wasn't gonna get an answer, he spoke. "Your name is Leonidas Arte Taylor. You are seventeen years old." Kira explained. "You had a family, friends. A dog, a cat. But they're long extinct." Kira admitted. I only remained silent. "You died one year before you were able to graduate High school." Kira explained. "But how?!" I snapped. Kira only sighed. "That is for you to find out." Kira explained. He then stopped and looked at me. "If you wish to live once more...you must know...a certain truth." Kira said. I only arched an eyebrow. "What...truth?" I ask. Kira sighed as he sat down...or at least I thought he did. He was fucking levitating! He crossed his arms and gently rested his wrists onto his legs. "Your world...Gaia...has met it's end. A certain...person...destroyed it." Kira explained. I only blinked. "Who?" I ask. Kira stared at me coldly....then spoke. "You." My eyes only widened. If I was alive, my heart would've skipped a beat. "W-What...?" I asked, shocked. Kira only shook his head with a tsk. I knew there had to be a reason for the...spirits glaring at me...was this it? Was I...a monster? How did I destroy a world? A million different questions swirled around my head...and I had no answers. Kira stared at me silently. For what seemed like five minutes, there was indeed an awkward silence...however, I broke that silence. "You said I can have another chance?" I asked. I then looked at the male. "Tell me...what's the catch?"
