Best Friends - Lumax

I followed Lucas, feebly. We were stopped by two boys. They were smirking at us. Lucas narrowed his eyes angrily while Mike, Dustin, and Will were crossing their arms. Eleven looked like she was about to burst in anger. The boys stepped a little closer.

"Oh look! It's the pretty kitty from California!" The shorter boy said, happily.

"Um...what?" I asked, really confused.

"I'm Troy pretty kitty." Troy says, ignoring my question.

"Um...my name is Max..." I replied.

Troy shrugs. I look over to see Lucas seething and glaring. I start to tense. I hoped Lucas would grab my hand, but he was too busy watching Troy. I sighed. Lucas jumped and looked over. He saw my tense shoulders and he grabbed my hand. Troy steps forward.

"She's too good for you Midnight!" Troy hissed.

Lucas just smirked. "And WAY to good for you.

Troy glared at him snapped his fingers. The other boy took one step then froze. He was staring at Eleven with wide eyes. Troy whipped around a sent a death glare to the boy.

"T-Troy! It's...her!!!" The boy stammered and pointed at Eleven.

Troy looked over in Eleven's direction and started shaking. Eleven crossed her arms and raised her left arm, threateningly. Troy and the boy stepped back.

"J-James! Let's get out of here!!!" Troy yelled and ran off. James followed.

"They thought you were gonna make him pee himself again!" I said, amused.

Eleven just smirked and whipped her now bleeding nose. Mike looked at her in horror. Suddenly we heard a shriek. I looked through the crowd and saw Troy running off, leaving a trail of something liquid.

"Mouth breather." Eleven hissed.

I gave her a friendly nudge. Eleven looked at me and gave a small smile. Mike gave her a big hug and kissed her cheek.

"Ugh! Get a room!" I yelled.

Mike and Eleven snickered and held hands. I realized they were coping Lucas and I, who were holding hands.

Mike got down on one knee. "Oh Max! Max marry me!" He taunted and grabbed onto Eleven's legs.

Eleven looked confused at first until Mike winked. She laughed and looked down.

"Oh yes Lucas! Let's hold hands under the covers all night!" Eleven replied.

My face turned a bright red. Mike stood up and grabbed Eleven. Dustin and Will were snickering.

"And let's hug and mush faces in the woods!"
Mike exclaimed.

"Alright! That's enough!" Lucas yelled and shoved Mike. Mike just laughed. Ugh!!!!! So much for taking things slow... Lucas grabbed my hand and led me away.

"Gotta go to first period!" He called over his shoulder.

"Bye Lumax!" Will yelled after us. Oh my god!

We stopped in a deserted hallway. Lucas pulled me closer to him. I just blushed. I looked away in embarrassment.

"What are we? Are we...ya know?...together?" Lucas asked while fiddling with his fingers.

"I uh...I dunno...I guess...I mean...we kissed and all but...I don't wanna start acting like...uh..." I struggled to find the right words.

"Steve and Nancy..." Lucas finished for me.

I looked up and nodded. Lucas didn't look mad. He relieved. He just smiled and hugged me...again.

"Thank god..." He whispered in my ear. I smiled and hugged him back. I suddenly pushed him away.

"Wait! What does that mean?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips.

Lucas smiled, "It means, I don't wanna start making out in the bathroom and lockers and hallways and classrooms and-" I put my fingers on his lips.

"I get it!" I replied with a laugh. Lucas smiled and laughed.

Together, we walked to first period. It seemed like all eyes were on us. People were whispering to each other and I even heard someone say, "Hey...didn't those two kiss at the Snowball last night?" Then someone replied with, "Yea! They hugged and danced and didn't let go of each other until the end." I felt my face turn red. Just great!

Nancy and Jonathan stopped us in the hall. "We heard." Nancy simply said.

"I ship it!" Jonathan exclaimed.

"The first kiss is always so magical!" Nancy replied.

"These two are perfect for each other!"

"I beg they've already kissed again."

"My mom told me last night that she and Hop saw Will, Mike, Dustin, Eleven, Lucas, and Max run off after the Snowball. And Will didn't come home last night so..."

"Oh my god! The slept in the same place together?!"

"Yup!"

"Not so loud!" I said and shoved the aside.

"Shut up!" Lucas whisper yelled.

Nancy and Jonathan laughed. "You guys are so cute and innocent." Nancy said, dreamily.

I blushed and felt myself tense again. Lucas grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I slowly relaxed. His touch always seems to help....

"AWWWWW!!!" Nancy and Jonathan gushed, loudly.

I shoved my fingers to my mouth. They just looked at each other and laughed. I rolled my eyes and pulled Lucas away.

"Class." I said and walked off.

God...are we really that cute?

Okay so...this was originally just supposed be a chappy with Troy and James but...you know me! Max and Lucas had to get confronted my Jancy! XD
