"You don't know who i am?"

"Um....am i supposed to?" She asked, but to Calum every word that left her lips seemed to have an edge of attitude laced on it, making him easily frustrated with her.

"Well yeah...i mean i think." He said, somehow confusing himself with his own words and nervously scratching the back of his neck.

"I'm Calum Hood."

"O-kay?" She rose an eyebrow.

"Calum Hood. I play bass in my band...you know... Five seconds of summer." He elaborated, throwing his hands in the air dramatically.

He could a few fans approaching from the distance and quickly grabbed Shannel by the hand urging her to go with him, in a desperate plea to escape them. He took of with her, dodging down side streets, going this way and that way until he came across another small coffee store, looking more appealing to the older age rather than the younger.

He dragged her in, taking her to a table at the back, away from the few other people the were in the place staring at her, a few men even gawking which angered Calum completely. He sat her down and went to order two cups of coffee before he went back to revealing himself to her in which all this time all she had done was follow quietly.

"So you've heard of us right?" He asked, lifting the coffee to his lips and taking a sip, burning his tongue and causing him to almost drop the cup completely from his throbbing tongue, much to Shannel's amusement.

"No i haven't." She replied, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Are you serious? We've toured with one direction." He stated, seemingly proud of the band he had toured with.

"Who's that?"

"Who's th- are you kidding me? You don't know who one direction are?" He rose his voice, but lowered it when he caught the looks of others in the store.

"Am i supposed to?"

"Well i mean yeah. How do you not know them, they're the biggest band in the world. You must've seem them, or at least heard their songs, 'what makes you beautiful', 'kiss you', 'you and i'." She shook her head at all of them, confused to say the least at how bothered Calum was by all of this.

"Have you been living under a rock or something?" His slight joke offended her more than he knew. Her smile had faded and he knew he was to blame.

"I mean like...don't you have any sisters, or don't you watch t.v. or something." He rephrased, as she shook her head, not particularly wanting to confess her life to Calum.

"So....like....where are you parents and stuff, i mean do they know what you do?" He changed the subject wanting to know more about the girl who had slowly become an interest to him.

"They...uh...they don't live with me." She replied, not necessarily lying nor telling the truth.

"So who do you live with?"

"Um...no-one." She said, taking a sip of her coffee, gazing out of the window at the clear blue sky.

"So your famous then?" She asked, immediately wanting to change the subject.

"I guess...." He mumbled, catching on to what she was doing.

"Huh." She whispered, unaware of how famous he really was and how much he meant to millions of girls all around the world.

"So you like you live alone?" He blurted, bringing the subject back to her and furrowing his eyebrows as she simply rolled hers.

"What is this twenty questions?" She asked, frustratedly.

"So you know what that is but you don't know who one direction are?" He scoffed, shaking his head at her only making her smile faintly.

"I guess." She shrugged.

"Well come on then." He said, standing up from his seat and reaching out his hand for her to take as she looked up at him confused.

"You need to know who one direction are, and i want you to know who i am." She smiled faintly, a million questions running through her mind about Calum. She wondered about who he really was and who she was and how their lives were never meant to be anything more than strictly business...yet it seemed as though it was turning out to be something much more.
