Chapter 9

Five years later. Nancy is in her room. She is seven months pregnant. She is dressed in a gown. She is seen apply make up. She rubs her mascara anf then she hears the door knock. "It should probably be Matthew, my darling husband." She struggles to stand and when she finally gets to her feet she walks slowly to the door. "Who is there?" She asks desperately.

"It's me Matthew." He says and she smiles as she she turns the door knob to open the door. She finally opens the door and the first thing they do is embracing each other.

"Honey." She says still embracing him. "Welcome home." She sighs and they kiss.

"I love you more than anything." He says as their mouth gradually separate.

"I love you too my dearest husband." They kiss again, longer this time.

"We'll have more fun later. Especially when my child is born." He rubs her stomach and smiles. "Just a little time. Just one month remaining. I have bought the layette. When the child is born he will lack nothing. " As he speaks they walk to the couch to sit. They finally sit.

"At least the baby is developing." Nancy says with a grin.

"I will spoil the child. Anything the child wants I'll give it to him. I'll support him in everything good he plans to do." He says chuckling.

"I won't spoil the child. I will discipline him the way my father did." She ends her statement sadly and seconds later she begins to sob. "My father loved me and I also loved him. Before he died he taught me a lot. I will never forget my dad and the lectures he taught me I'll transfer the same to my son. To always stand by the truth and the truth alone. For no reason should a lie be proceeded at of his mouth." She says sobbing. Matthew comes closer to her and wraps his hand around her shoulder.

"I love you so much. Forget about it, I'm here for you. No problem." He says and rests his head on hers. He rubs her back to her butt.

"How was work today?" She asked trying to get off the sad emotion they were both in and that present time. 

"Yeah, it was fun today." He says as he stands up to demonstrate what he is about to say.

"So tell me." Nancy says looking so interested.

"After I finished my duties and waited for work to close. We all received phone calls that we shouldn't leave that we had an important meeting and no one must be left out..." Matthew says still giving his speech.

"But why?" Nancy asks inquisitively.

"He wanted to give us some lectures on how we can improve the coca cola bottling company by innovating Eva water." Matthew says and takes a deep breadth. "The meeting was so boring and guess what..."

"You dozed off..." She says and chuckles. "Of course I know you very well and your insane sleeping habit. Especially when something is dry." She says and chuckles the more.

"I was still sleeping even when the meeting was over..."

Flashback
Matthew has slept off already and the meeting is still on. The Managing director gives the vote of thanks and closes the meeting.

Everyone departed and Matthew was left alone there. A woman walked to him and taps him. Her face was not seen clearly.

"Sir, the meeting is over and you're still here. Please get up and leave." She said so politely.

"Thank you so much. I was meditating, you know some kinds of prayers." Matthew said smiling which seemed so fake.

"Alright sir please leave." She said calmly. He immediately stood up and picks his suitcase and leaves.

Flashback ends
"Are you serious? You must have been a little bit embarrassed." Nancy says laughing.

"I just wished I could see the woman's face." Matthew says looking so romantic.

"Mr. Romantic. I hope you won't forget me and your baby. Anyway, what's her name I'm gonna strangle her." Nancy says jokingly.

"I couldn't ask her for her name. That was number one mistake." Mattgew says. Nancy is already behind him removing his blazer seductively and he smiles, turns to her and they kiss.

"Relax and forget about that lady. I'll quickly go and rush something for you to eat." She says and retires to the kitchen.
