Two mornings later. Mary is seen preparing the food, she dishes the food on two plates. She then pushes one of the plates to the other end of the table. She comes back to the other plates and she brings out a tiny cup made of brass. She looks left and right to see if Austin can see her. "Finally you'll be mine and mine forever. Let me see how you'll go and meet that fool called Sandra. I try my possible best to bring you closer to me so at least we can live in harmony and give birth to our own children but you've refused." She then unties the cup and pours the content into the food. "Finally Austin will be mine." She carries the two plates and drops it on the dining table and goes to the room and calls him.
She gets to the room and notices that Austin is arranging is cloth. She gets to him and tells him. "Food is ready darling."
"Alright I'm coming." Austin says still arranging his clothes.
"You really need to hurry up, the food will get cold." She says with so much excitement.
"Have you poisoned the food or what? Why are you in such haste for me to eat? Have you put any potion inside so I can turn to a chicken? Or for me to be indebted to you? Don't worry Mary eh, I will cook my own food, stick to your own food." Austin says distinctly.
"Em... Em... Em... Em why don't you like eating my food? You are to... I don't know how to describe you." Mary says looking angry now. 'My plan has spoilt. He must eat, I need to find a way.' Mary thinks aloud.
"Is it a must to eat your food? Please spare me all your nonsense talks please." Austin says looking angry too.
"All these isn't fair I tell you. Why are you so rude and bitter towards me?" Mary says as she begins to sob.
"Then why did you get married to me? Why did you get married to me? I never loved you but my mum decided that we should get married. I ain't love you but you're falling for me. Please tell me why?" Austin interrogates her.
"Keep quiet Austin you have no solid point." She says as she walks to the dining to eat her food.
Austin goes to the kitchen to prepare noodles and when he is done he goes to the dining to eat and he pushes the food Mary prepared to one side and sits down and starts eating. "I prefer eating cassava flakes than eating your poisoned food."
"What!" Mary exclaimed.
'This woman is a witch.' He thinks aloud. They both eat their food.
After they finished eating Mary decided herself to go and visit her mother and tell her everything that happened.
