I looked up into the sky later that night, seeing multiple shapes and figures. It was my favourite type of the night, midnight. I could feel the cold breeze against my nose, and it was the right time to see the stars in the sky; they were more visible.
I closed my eyes and thought of my friends, the most calm people I knew, yet most noticed in school. I was the friend in the group who prefered to stay quiet, silent for others to wonder my personality, yet they only notice my height and baby-like face. Of course I wasn't bothered by this, but I found it odd that it could catch people's attention so quickly.
My friends were the 'weird ones' of the school. They all enjoyed board games, books, even anime or video games. We were the nerds, if you could say. They never stayed tune in trends, they always stuck to their own style, which happened to be laid back.
All the other girls stuck to thongs and big stoned belts and skinny jeans that showed half of their glutes, but of course the guys didn't mind this, Dillon was always quite attracted to this very unique and odd trend that I happen to loathe.
The girls in my group of friends always wore more bigger jeans and never big belts, they usually wore more smaller belts and flannels. I prefer this more on girls than the skinny jeans and other things I mentioned. Although I never paid attention to girls, I prefer certain things on them.
My usual style depended on my mood. Some days I'll be lazy, so I'd wear jeans and a flannel with a tank top, and some days I'd feel fancy and wear more tighter jeans with a thin coat and proper shirt.
I could remember back in the day when my friends and I would go to the park everyday after school. Tiffany would run away from Dillon and I when we chased her. And Dillon and Tiffany even shared a long passionate kiss, but of course that was when they had huge crushes on each other and Dillon wasn't a big player then.
Now Tiffany has the biggest crush on me, but I could never see an interest in her. Yes, she has long beautiful flowing red hair, but I could never see past of what she's done to me. It was awful, and I'm scared that she'd do something worse if us two got together.
It should be Dillon and Tiffany together, although now Dillon wants to get with a popular girl with long auburn hair, and I can't stop him from his decisions; I'm not the type of person to ruin someone's dreams.
I love my friends, but I have to admit they do some stupid things that I definitely don't agree with at all. I wish the things they do wouldn't happen, but it happens anyways. They've tried to talk me into their constant decision once, but I don't want to be in their moments they always seem to have.
I brought out my phone and started a call with my friend, Tatum. She wasn't at school today, she may have been sick and needed to stay home for a day to get good rest.
She oddly answered the phone at a fast speed, and her words coming out of her mouth at a quick rate,
"You got a date with a popular kid!?" Tatum asked. I could hear how excited and pumped she was for this date. I was happy that at least she was glad for me, other than Tiffany who had been hurt, and Dillon who barely even agrees me to go with a guy.
I felt the smile on my face grow wider than before, it was so big my cheeks began to ache after a while.
"I'm shocked as well! I'll tell you exactly what happened, okay?" I asked her, then giving a summary of what had happened in the cafeteria. Her gasps were such an amazing sound to hear. I stared at the stars with a huge gleam in my eyes as I listened to Tatum's response.

I later went inside and said my good nights to my mum, going into my room shortly after, thinking about what had happened in the lunchroom a few hours before.
I was still thankful for Tatum, I started to rethink my friendship with Dillon. Maybe Dillon wasn't the best of friend to have around me; the negative atmosphere was very strong when he was around with me, as well as Tiffany.
I was a little tempted to pick up my phone again and talk to Tatum, it was as if the conversation we had about Tal meant the world to me.
I picked up my phone for a second and opened my text conversation with Tate. I then slowly took my phone away from my face, staring at Tatum's name above the texts. I wanted to send something, but I was too anxious to bother her from whatever she was doing.
