Kellin's POV
I let out a groan as I walked down the stairs and looked around. Everything was normal and nothing was crazy or out of place in my mind but everything was still so hazy and I hated it almost as much as the hallucinations. I just wanted to feel like I used to but it was like that was never going to happen again.
"So, did it help having Vic and Austin over yesterday?" My mom asked me as I waited for Vic to stop by the house.
"Yeah it was nice to have some human contact."
"That's good," she said. "What are you two doing today?"
"I'm not sure."
"Well make sure you get back at a reasonable time, got it?"
"You got it."
"Good," she said just as Vic walked into the house. He was practically part of the family at this point and it was cute.
"Hey Kells." Vic walked in and looked at my mom. "Hey Lisa," he said and kissed my mom's cheek.
"Hey Sweetie," my mom said with a smile. "What are your plans today?"
Vic gave her his adorable lopsided smile. "I'm planning on taking Kells out for dinner and maybe the skating rink if he's feeling up to it. But we do have to make a pit stop before we do."
"That'll be fun."
"I think so," he said with a grin.
"Well be safe and don't stay out too late."
"We will."
"Great, now go have fun!"
"We will," I said and took Vic's hand and headed out of the house.
"So the skating rink and dinner? What's the pit stop?"
"We have to stop by my brother's grave," Vic said, sucking on his teeth. "I hope that's okay."
"Uh yeah, any particular reason?"
"It's his birthday," Vic said softly.
"Oh okay," I said giving his hand a squeeze.
"Is that okay?" He asked. "I can wait until after our date."
I smiled and shook my head. "No, it's okay baby. We can go see him."
"I just don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"It won't," I told him and took his hand in mine.
"Okay."
"That's really sweet, though, that you're going to his grave for his birthday."
"It's something that's right."
"Did your parents go?" I asked him, curious.
Vic shook his head and made a face. "My mom hasn't gone since he died."
"Why not?"
"She says it hurts too much."
"Oh."
"And I don't know about my dad. But I'm the only one who leaves stuff for him."
"Do you go a lot?"
"About every week."
"That's sweet."
"I try," he said dryly.
I smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He grinned and wrapped his arm around my waist as we started walking again.
"So, do you put flowers or what?"
