Austin's POV

I waited at the skatepark making a few deals here and there. I was making enough so that Spencer would be off my back about everything. He was such an asshole and I hated it, but he was nice enough to let every selling keep seventy five percent of the profit which was awesome. So I had a decent income coming from this gig.

I was getting used to doing this stuff all the time and I didn't really mind it either. I mean don't get me wrong, I felt terrible selling to people when they could get help. It wasn't my life that was being ruined though, it was theirs.

I let the time pass and soon enough I was done being here. I left and started towards my house, bumping into Alan and Vic on the way.

"Hey guys," I said smiling at Alan and Vic.

Alan looked angry and Vic looked like he was annoyed.

I frowned. "What's going on with you two?"

"He's being angry and snapping at everything that moves," Vic explained.

"Well why?"

"Withdrawals."

"Oh," I said, raising my eyebrows.

"Yeah, he got caught red handed by my parents."

"Oh damn," I said. "So you're being forced to get clean huh?"

Alan rolled his eyes at me, "Obviously."

"That's good."

"He's driving me insane," Vic muttered.

"Are you his babysitter?"

"No," Alan snapped.

"Yes," Vic sighed.

"Rough dude. I can take him off your hands if you like," I offered and I wanted to be around Alan again especially knowing he was getting sober.

"No, I can't let him out of my sight. And I don't trust you, Carlile."

"Why don't you trust me?"

"We've been over this."

"I know, but that's with you not Alan."

"I don't trust you with my brother so you're going to stay away," Vic told me with a serious look.

"What?"

"What?"

"Well one you have no reason to not trust me with him and two what do you mean stay away?"

"Brother?" Alan muttered giving Vic a look.

"Shut up asshole," Vic said, elbowing Alan in the ribs.

"Ow."

"Answer my questions?" I said curiously.

"I don't trust you because you have feelings for him and Alan needs to get his shit together before he even deals with the confusion that comes along with being with you. Two. I mean exactly that, stay away from Alan right now, he needs to get himself figured out right now."

I rolled my eyes at him, "Fine."

"You can't dictate my life," Alan said looking over at Vic.

"I can right now," Vic said and rolled his eyes. "Just trust me on this."

"Trust you? You sold me out on some of my stash dude!"

"I told you I was going to get rid of all of it," Vic said. "I never said I wouldn't. I was completely honest."
