Shai's Pov

I am awaken by the sound of sizzling. Rising slowly, I slip on my slippers and walk to the kitchen. There stands Theo, standing in front of the stove making eggs. He wears the same jeans as last night but no shirt. I stare at his back; toned and muscular. I snap out of my gaze by Theo literally snapping his fingers in my face. "Earth to Shai, you in there? Or were you lost in my beautiful back?" He asks, smiling. I don't respond but blush a little instead. Theo sets two plates on the counter which consist of two fried eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and a strip of bacon each.

"Oh look, you're blushing as red as a tomato," Theo jokes. I frown.

"But admit it," He begins, "you know you want me, Shai. Don't deny it." I laugh at his comment. "Oh whatever, Theodore." I respond, sitting at the counter.

But, I don't know. Maybe I do want him.

Theo's Pov

I laugh as we both are sitting down and eating.

"Man, you can cook!" Shailene says as she chews the eggs.

"I'm not that helpless," I respond. She looks at me and grins, "I didn't mean it like that. Where'd you learn how to cook so deliciously?" I ponder about this question and just decide to answer it truthfully.

"I did everything in the house while she-who-shall-not-be-named was always sitting on her lazy ass. Cook, clean, do laundry, swee-" Shai cuts me off.

"I'm sorry. I truly am. She didn't deserve you at all. Not one bit. I've only known you for a few days but we are already like best friends. And someday, you will find the perfect girl." She finishes, hugging me.

And in that moment I realize,

I already have.
