Chapter 23

Shailene's Pov

"Pucker up," Theo tells me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "Shutup, lemme eat before we shoot." I respond, shaking myself from his grip. Last thing we need is for people taking pictures of us being so close and cozy. There could be set stalkers for all we know.

The other day we agreed to separate, since more and more rumors have been building up. Theo announced in the recent interviews that in fact him and Ruth have broken up for a reason he deems not appropriate to publicly announce, and that he is not dating anyone at the moment. It kind of hurt when we decided on this because I really did like him. Hopefully we can try something when we finish filming.

In a few minutes, after I eat a small macaroon, we are both on the balcony reciting our lines. When it's time to kiss, Theo's eyes search mine, and he brings my lips to his. My hands cup his face as we both move in unison. His nose presses against my nose for brief moments, and I bit his lip. When I finally pull away to take a breath, I smile a little. As we press our foreheads together, I almost forget that I have a line. "I don't want to go too fast," I whisper. After a few more seconds, someone yells cut. But we stay there, in each other's arms, breathing the same air. Finally, Theo is the one to pull back. I can't help but just smile. "Good job," He laughs. "Yeah, same to you." I respond.

"Guys, wonderful! Now, we got the scene at many different angles so we don't have to do more takes." Neil informs us. We both nod and walk off of the balcony, Theo going towards Jai and me towards Zoë. "You guys were practically eating eachother." She tells me right as I approach her. I roll my eyes, "Haha, well hi to you too."

"Honestly, though, you guys are too cute. Wait till the movie comes out. The fans are gonna go nuts." Zoë remarks. And I do agree with her. These books had a pretty big fan base when we started filming, plus the people who are now reading the book and will read the book once they see the trailer. "Can't wait for my notifications to blow up." I murmur sarcastically.
