Theo's Pov
When Shai and I hugged, I felt this fire ignite in me. That's when it hit me. I like Shailene Woodley. And trust me, it's more than just like. But it's too early to know now; I just have to wait and see.
When we arrived at Chili's around 8:15, Zoë spots us and waves us over. Shai and I walk over to their table and sit side by side. Zoë is accompanied by Ansel, and Miles links hands with a brunette which I believe is his girlfriend. "So, how come Ruth isn't here?" Miles asks.The memories of those horrid events rapidly begin to flood my mind. I am speechless. "Miles, Theo is just... going through some rough times right now so I think it's best not to bring it up," Shailene says. Thank goodness she said something. But they deserve to know.
"We aren't together anymore," I say. They all gasp. "She, She cheated on me." More gasps. Ansel taps his chin and asks, "Why did she cheat on you? Was it because of someone else or..." Dammit Ansel. Shai gets up and mutters an "excuse me", and walks away. Zoë follows her, shooting me a quick glance of concern but I dismiss it.
Zoë's Pov
I quickly run after Shailene as she runs to the bathroom. When I enter, Shai is there crying by the sinks. Slowly I approach her and softly pat her back, "First of all, what happened? And second of all, these bathrooms are so freaking disgusting. Like ew." She laughs a little and turns to me. "I was the reason Ruth cheated on him Zoë. She was jealous of me." Shai recalls. "No, she was probably jealous and I'd understand why. Like, look at you for god's sake. But that shouldn't have lead her to have sex with another man, alright?" I tell her. She nods and wipes her eyes, "I'm so happy I didn't wear makeup tonight." I giggle as we walk back to the table.

I finally get to meet Shai! Like I've been dying to see her in real life since Secret Life.
