Chapter 27

Theo's Pov

She's gone. She left and I'm not going to see her for a while. The thought creates a hole in my chest that gradually gets bigger. When I get back to the hotel, I plop down on the couch. What to do, what to do...

London. I'll go to England, I can spend time there with my family. Hurriedly I get up and grab my phone and dial my mum's number.

"Theodore?" She asks.

"Yeah, hey mum."

"Theo! It's been so long! How's it been over there?" She questions. I fill her in on how it was filming.

"So, mum, I thought since we finished filming, I could fly over there for a month or so." I finally out in there between all her blabbering.

"Really? When are you planning to-"

"UNCLE THEO!" A squeaky little girl's voice squeals through the phone.

"Clover! What's up pumpkin?" I happily say. Clover is my niece, my sister Caroline's daughter. Clover is about 6 years old, I believe. It's been a while since I've been home.

"You're coming back? We missed you!" Clover tells me.

"Yeah pumpkin, I'm coming back. You know what? I'm going to see if I can get there by tomorrow to see everyone and stay with you guys."

"Alfie, Uncle Theo is coming back home tomorrow!" Alfie is her younger brother, he's around 5 years old now.

"I'm going to give you to my mommy now." Clover informs.

"Hey," Caroline greets.

"Hey, you've probably just heard but I'm gonna come back tomorrow. I'll probably stay for about a month."

"Okay, well Gavin and Cressida are in Florida now, they want to see if they could rent a beach house so we can go around May." She tells me. Gavin is one of my brothers and Cressida is my other sister.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow, bye."

*Tomorrow*

When I get off the plane to London, I grab my two suitcases and exit the airport. I hail a cab and give the driver my mother and father's address. When we get there, I pay him and grab my luggage from the trunk. As I am about to knock on the door, it swings open to reveal Clover and Caroline.

"Uncle Theo you're back!" The blonde little girl exclaims. She jumps into my arms and I have her sit on my shoulders.

"You're getting big, Clove." I mention and she giggles. "Hey, Theo. How's it been?" Caroline greets as I set Clover down.

"It's been good."

"I'm going to have Clover take her nap and then you can fill us in on your new celebrity life," She laughs.

"Alright, where's mum and dad?" I ask, since they haven't come to say hi to me yet.

"Oh they're at Sydney's for her birthday, they'll be coming around soon."

Caroline's Pov

Something's off about Theo. He's not his usual happy, perverted self. Once the kids are asleep, I have him sit on the couch next to me.

"So how's it been? I haven't gotten to see the movie yet. But when Gavin and August came back from visiting you, they wouldn't shut up about you and your costar." I say. His cheeks flush and he looks down.

"What did they say about her?" He asks.

"They said that when she was talking to them-"

"Talking to them?" He seems surprised.

"Yes. Well yeah, when she was talking to them, Gavin asked if you two were dating."

"Those idiots." Theo says, anger slowly crawling up his face.

"She said that it's complicated, what's that supposed to mean, huh?" I question. When my brothers first told me this, I wondered what 'complicated' meant. Theo launches into the whole story about Ruth and the rumors on the internet and how him and Shailene had tried being together but separated to calm down the rumors.

"I'm sorry, Theo. Maybe one day you can bring her here so we can finally meet her." I suggest. He smiles a little and nods.

"Will do. Now I'm tired. Leave so I can sleep." He snaps playfully.

yes this chapter was mostly dialogue :) I thought Theo should've went to London to see his family after being away for so long.

Im so excited for the next few chapters, hopefully you guys are too.

oh and tomorrow, I'll try an update before 3:00pm (EST) bc I'm going to go to Kendall (which is like only 30 mins away but still) to see Chloë at Barnes and Noble. I'm like so scared bc last time I went to one of these it was so packed that I was pushed and I sprained my ankle. But enough of my life story.
