Aces P.O.V.
I woke up in a room that was distant in my memory, so distant that I could only recall loving the purple walls that surrounded me. I groan softly as I slowly sit up, a dull ache in my head warning against any sudden movement. I take a moment to really look around the room, the familiarity causing my head to hurt a little more before my eyes land on a very grumpy looking white bird who is staring at me. A grin spreads itself across my lips before I hold out my arm for her, she gracefully flies to me landing smoothly on my arm.
"Hey Marshy, sorry I didn't get the chance to let you fly around outside" I say as I place a kiss on her beak, she babbles for a moment and dances around on my arm earning a giggle from me. Marshmallow placed her beak on my lips and makes a loud kissing sound before going back to dancing around. I watched her with a smile, her silliness easily cheering me up. A soft knock comes from the door before it slowly opens revealing Reed and the blonde girl from when I was first found.
"Hey Ace, finally up?" Reeds voice reaches my ears and I give a nod of confirmation before my eyes focus on the girl, who boldly stares back me at me. We stay like this for a while, Marshmallow even stopped dancing, before I cracked a smile and she returned the smile. She walked close to me and held out a hand.
"I'm Liz, Reeds mate" She introduces herself and my heart warms to know Reed found her. I shake her hand and place my own on top of her hand.
"Liz, I want to thank you for allowing your mate to help me. I could only imagine how you worried for him" I say with a softness in my voice, Liz smiles at my words a calm seeming to have relaxed her. Marshmallow decided to make herself known by stepping onto our joined hands and letting out a loud high-pitched scream. I chuckled softly as Liz slowly pulls away, a small smile brightening her features.
Reed stood by the door with a proud look on his face as his mate returned to him, he nods to me as I return the gesture. Suddenly a familiar man bursts into the room, speaking too quickly for me to catch any of it. Panic was clear in his features but it suddenly clicked, my father found me.
"Daddy?" My voice waivers as he suddenly stops panicking and slowly makes his way to me, and with tears in his blue eyes he held my hand gently. He visibly calms and he places his hand on my cheek, as if to make sure I was real.
"My little fireball" He says in a soft voice before he hugs me gently which I gladly return. I close my eyes as my fathers warmth soothes the hidden pain in my chest. I sniffle as he pulls away but he only smiles down at me, running his fingers through my thick red hair.
"I found you, no, you found me baby girl. After all this time." Pride was evident in his voice but as soon as he realizes the situation, a frown darkens his features. He places a small kiss on my forehead before walking out of the room, making me give Reed a questioning look. Reed sighs and Liz silently leaves the room.
"Ace," Reed begins in a gentle tone "James, he almost killed you this time. It was close, your dad was panicking. Hell even the bird was freaking out." His voice falters as a tear rolls down his cheek, "Ace. James is coming tonight to talk with you and your father." He places a hand on my shoulder and I felt Violet stir at the mention of his name. A frown now finds its way on my face, confusion making my mind swirl.
"Reed, Bone would never hurt me" I say in a firm voice, knowing he truly would never harm me and this makes Reed smile.
"That is true, but James does not seem to care for you." He says softly and I sigh, not being able to deny it. Violet whimpers in my mind, letting her own pain be known. I look at Reed, knowing I could trust his word.
"Can we go outside?" I ask in a eerily calm voice and he simply nods in reply, helping me to my feet. I wobble for a moment but follow him outside, to the lush greenery that I missed. Seeing this forest sway in the wind and hearing the comforting sounds that once lulled me to sleep makes Violet urge to be free. I smile inwardly at her a nod, giving her permission to be free.
The last thing I remember before Violet pushed me back was a sharp pain in my leg.

Violets P.O.V.
These woods are my home, I know they are. In my form I can find her, I can save her. I look back at Reed who is staring at my form in shock and flash him a wolfish grin before bounding off into the greenery, as my paws his the dirt and the scent of oak floods my senses I run faster. As I gain speed I allow my memory to guide me, a distant but clear memory. I push myself to go faster, gaining speed as I continued to push.
After running for twenty minutes I begin to slow, the scent of something unfamiliar now reaching me. I follow it to a house, perhaps beautiful now but flames ate away its beauty. I slowly walk forward, memories guiding me to a graveyard. I stood and entered the place of the fallen, as I continued the graves became newer and some only had stick crosses with piece of cloth on it. I stopped at a single grave that was marked with a single angel. A whine escaped me and I bowed my head.
My humans mother lied here, Ace will be hurt to know she will never meet her life giver. I threw my head back letting loose a loud, sad howl. I hear other wolves join my howl, turning it into a beautiful song. I lower my head and turn away from the grave, slowly walking away from a place of death and sadness. As I roamed the beautiful forest, Bones scent hit me like a truck. I look around for him, my tail wagging slightly. I soon see his dark fur and let out a loud happy yip, causing him to look over.
Bone ran over and jumped around me, his tail wagging too quickly to be seen. He presses his forehead to mine and closes his eyes. I purr in content and his bushy tail seems to wag faster. His eyes snap open and meet my own, we stay this way for a long time. Simply lost in each other, he licks my snout before whining softly, knowing he would have to go.
'I won't let him hurt you are Ace anymore Violet' His voice floods my mind and a purr escapes me, hope blooming in my chest. I lick his nose and pad away, occasionally looking back at him until I couldn't see him anymore.
I couldn't let Ace hurt anymore.
