The ship was black in colour, with huge thrusters that expelled a blue/green flame. It had antennas all over it with an elongated hull. It was cylindrical in shape with some type of extra spikes at the back and it just sat there, like it was waiting for something or perhaps looking. There was a flash, faster than the eye could see. It was blinding, brighter then the sun, but it only lasted half a second. The flash was closely followed by a blood curtiling, gut wrenching sound that went right throught you.

By the time this had happened both classes ran for cover beneath the walkway next to the tuckshop. The the sound of their hearts beating could be heard in their ears as they stood there, huddled together, not even daring to breathe, for the fear of death were in the forefront of their minds. Rachael and several others begain to break down in tears, fearing for her lifes. "Shut the fuck up right now, I am not dieing at school today, because you idiots are crying. Crying isn't going to save you, so get your shit together" Chelsea angerly whispered to Rachael and the others.

The ship made another sound but this time it sounded like air being released followed by a whiz in the air then the first pillar hit the ground with an almightly quake, throwing dirt, dust and debre in all directions. Several windows shattered simultaneously.  The classes ran for their lives towards the oval hoping to excape what they thought would follow. Panic spread throughout both classes as they pushed and shoved each other trying to get to the front of the stampede and as far away from the pillar as possible. From the cola (Covered Outdoor Learning Area or as we call it the courts), everyone could see the pillar now, in all of its glory.

The pillar hit just on the inside of the chain link fence along the northern side of the school garden, next to the tall gum trees, just near the blue seats. It was pure black which stood ten metres in the air and a few bellow which held it in place, it shined in the sun light with hexagonal metal plating which had alien symbols etched into the side of it. It was in the shape of a vertical triangular based prism coming to a point. It shone with an blue aurora with a large blue crystal like object on top of the pillar. From the top of the pillar it began to make a repeating sound. However this sound was familiar, the year elevens realized that it was the sound made, when the pillar fell. From the cola, they could see and hear the second pillar as it fell from the ship . It hit the ground at the front entry to the school, same as the first, it hit the ground but this time it crashed through the concrete cracking it in every direction. This did not stop the pillar, it still stood there, ten metres in the air like it was becoming a boundary of some kind.

Ear pearcing blimps came from the two pillars, then with out warning, the two crystals became active and a wall of some kind became active between the two. They conected in the middle like a wave of energy, this energy barrier waved and swirled like the outside of a bubble. Lewis realized that this was not leading a good outcome for him or his class mates, he assumed that the aliens, who ever they are, did not come in peace.

"Hey, where is everyone else? I can't see or hear anyone at this school! It's not like they can't of heard the fucking space ship shooting out two pillars!" Lewis shouted to everyone. "He's right, where is everyone?" asked miss Wadley. Lewis and several others begain to cautiously search the school without the concent of the teachers while the others stayed under the cola. During this time, the ship had not moved, it just stayed there, hovering like it was waiting for something. After some time, the others came back but could not find any sign of the rest of the students. "It's like they just disappeared, into thin air with out a trace. Their books, bags and pencil cases are still there, but theres no sign of anyone, even in the office" Lewis shouted to the others .

"Where have they all gone?" cryed some of the other students, while others began to cry if they haven't already. Lewis thought out loud "what if that bright light we first saw, some how took them, like you see in the movies, you know, like beam me up Scotty". "How would that even be possible, it's impossible to teleport something!" miss Wadley shouted over the paniced students. "Miss they have a fucking space ship!, I doubt that teleporting something is a big deal to them" Lewis smirked. "How are you not freaking out, seriously Lewis what the actural fuck!" Chelsea yelled. "Well, if iam not laughing iam going to have a frigin heart attack and die ina hole, so my options are limited at the moment Chels!" "Your sarcasm isn't helping Lewis, but I guess you right".

Why was the ship here and what did it want?, these are the questions that the students were all thinking but couldn't find the answer to. As the initial panic faded, it turned into antisapation as half an hour went by and no one was dared move from under the cola. In the quiet the familiar sound was heared again, one after the other several pillars hit the ground around the boundary if the school. The third pillar hit towards the Agriculture depatment and the creek. The forth hit next to the bus stop while the fith and sixth hit along the creek next to the oval and the corner of the school, narrowly missing a caravan that was parked there. The seventh pillar landed sirectly in a car, opposite of the sixth pillar.

They realised that they were surounded by the pillars and began to run towards the road with panic flaring in their chest in the direction of the fourth pillar.
