Farwell

Lewis ran into the control room of the cargo ship, his device translated the words on the screen. One light was flasing and it said Cargo Link connected another said Hull Doors sealed, the last light was flashing with the words Minimal Damage received displayed on the screens. "First of all something called the Cargo Link in conected and then the hull doors are closed then there is minimal damage to the ship. The damage doesn't seem to be an issue so there is two things to worry about. First of all the ship needs to be off the ground so I think the Cargo Link is keeping us here, then we need to somehow open the hull doors", Lewis told them. "How the hell do we disconnect the Cargo Link, what even is that?" Asked Christine. "Something that's keeping us here, we need to hurry more will come", Said Kasey.

Lewis sat at the console and started looking at the buttons and the screens, he saw what looked like a map of the docking bay and he saw a small light on the other side of the bay, it appeared that it was located on a small platform that over looked the bay. "See that light, that's the controls for the cargo bay" Lewis said. "We need to turn off the Cargo Link from there and we might be able to open the hull doors as well". Ellen asked "So someone needs to go there and shut of off?" "Yea, don't worry I'll go" said Lewis. "Wait, you can't we need you to fly the ship, your the only one who can translate the words and fly us out of here!" Exclaimed Chelsea. "I'll give you the device". Lewis Grabbed the device from his ear and tryed to pull it off, a loud high pitch static noise bursted in to his head, a sharp stabbing pain shot through his head and he colapsed to the ground clutching his head in pain. Lewis shouted "I cant, I can't pull it off, it won't let me! I am sorry".

"I'll do it", said Kasey, "Mitchell died so we can escape, but we can't, this way yous can get out and he wouldn't have died for nothing". "Kasey, no" Christine shouted. "This is my wish and I am doing it". "Fine, I won't stop you Kasey but make sure you come back. When you get there tell me what you see and I'll  talk you through it. Then when you have tuened the Cargo Link off and opened the hull doors, run back and we'll leave this ship for good, ok?" Lewis said. "Ok". The doors opened and Kasey ran out towards the platform with a radio in her hand. She arrived and called in "Ok I am here, there's buttons and a leaver". "The screen says that you need to rotate some sort of knob while holding a button, then pull the leaver down, you got that Kasey?". "Yep, ok, just pulled the leaver down, is that it?". "Yea that shoud be it". The metal claw like objects released their hold on the ship and sunk into the floor alowing the ship to take off.

"Ok Kasey thats it, now you need to open the hull doors so we can leave, do you see any screens of some kind?", "yea, what do I do?". At that moment the door leading to the corridor bursted open and quite alot of soldiers came poring in through it.  They aimed at the platform where Kasey was at and fired, Kasey jumped down and luckily missed the weapon fire. "Lewis, their here, more soldiers and they busted the console, sorry, I can't do anything" Kasey reported.  "Can you make it to the ship?", "No I can't, but don't worry, I don't mind, I can see Mitchell again, yous have to get out while you can and leave me". "Kasey I won't leave you!" Lewis shouted over the radio , "You have to, go now before it's too late". She replyed. "She's right Lewis, we have to go now, we won't get another chance" Jaidyn quietly said to him. "We will never forget what you did for us Kasey! thank you" Lewis said with a  chocke in his voice.

Lewis looked at the screen and began to start the engines, the aliens started to fire at the ship but causing minimal damage. "How are we getting out?" Asked Jess. "I am going to shoot the hull doors causing the cargo bay to be sucked into the vacuum of space". He flicked a switch and then pulled a leaver down, the thrusters came on and they started to hover. They turned around and faced the hull doors, the aliens ran for cover as several of them were burned to ash by the thrusters. They could see Kasey waving to them from the platform, "Good bye Kasey" they said over the radio. "Good bye and I hope yous make it home" she cryed. Lewis turned on the weapons system and powered it up, the chart on the screen turned from red to yellow to green signalling that it was ready to fire. He told everyone over the ships radio to "sit down and hold on to something because from here on out it was going to be a rough ride".

He fired the weapons and two energy beams shot out from the side of the ship and blasted the hull doors, they bursted open sucking everything out into space. The aliens, cargo and even the ship was sucked into space, lights and alarms went off all over the ships screens, the ship took heavy damage from the debree. Everyone in the control room was unharmed, Lewis quickly establishes where they were, from the ships sencers he was able to tell that they were near the moon. He adjusted the thrusters and aimed for Earth, about two hours later they entered Earths atmosphere and the damaged ship began to rattle and shake with such force they thought it was going to fall apart. Lewis set a course for Kilcoy school, moments later they were able to see the town from above.
