"No you don't, you don't have to kill us", "we would not waste time killing such primitive lifeforms, we need your essences if our race is to survive". "What do you mean essences, and why do you need it to survive?". The essence is in all sentient life, however we need the essence of ones who are most like us" , "how are we like you, we look so different". "Your kind shares sixty seven percent of our DNA, this make your kind the most compatable with ours". "But why do you need it?" "A millennia ago, my race constructed a device that aloud oneself to be turned into two, and when it was done, you could trancefer your conscience into the new body, that way our kind could live forever". "So your kind figured out a way to live eternally?", "yes, indoing so, we have lost the ability to reproduce naturally, after thousands upon thousands of years using this method, my kind can no longer reproduce.
"My kind is dieing a slow and painful death as a result of abnormalities and mutations occurring in the genetic make up of my species, with each new clone the worse it gets". "So your kind needs our life essences to do what?". "We need it to correct this error by manipulating it to suit our genome and return our race to its former evolutionary body". "Where are my friends, what have you done to them?", "I have not done anything to them yet, they will be harvested soon enough", "what do you mean harvested?". "What is life?" "I believe that your people call life essence stem cells, with them, I can rebuild my race".
He walked over to the tray with the equipment on it, reached out his hand and grabbed a large needle with a syringe attached to it. "This will be like no other pain you have ever felt". "Please don't do this, there has to be another way?", "there is no other way". He pushed a button on the side of the table and it flipped over onto its back, the area beneath Lewis's back opened up to reveal his spine.
He placed the needle deep into Lewis's spinal cord. He screamed as this was the most excruciatingly painful thing he has ever experienced in his life, he was unable to move with all the straps as the needle went deeper and deeper while screaming with pain. The needle finaly stopped but the pain didn't, the alien began to extract what it was after, he slowly pulled the needle from Lewis's spine and placed it on the bench. Lewis was able to see that the it was filled with the pink fluid that he saw earlier when he looked into the room. "So you want our stem cells?" "Yes, we require them".An anouncement came over the ships speakers, "captian Bunkara, your needed on deck" He walked out of the room and told the guards to watch Lewis. Lewis looked around the room for a way to get out of the straps his back still stinging from the needle, he couldn't find anything that might set him free. He heard a loud commotion out side the room and several gun shots, moments later Ellen, Jess and Chelsea came into the room. "Thank god it's you!" Lewis exclaimed, quick get me out" Jess ran over to the table and pressed a button, the table then flipped over and tbey began to undo the strapps. "How did yous escape?", Chelsea explained that "When Ellen was caught and strapped, she mannaged to loosen one arm and then she got free. She then found me and Jess, after that we came ans found you". With the help of Ellen, Lewis arose from the table and stumbled to his feet, I found out what they want, it's stem cells, they want our stem cells".
"What do they want it for?" Asked Ellen, "they want it to do, something with this their genetic structure, I wasn't really listening!". "What do you mean you weren't listening, why weren't you listening thats why their here?", "Well I was alittle more preoccupied with the SURGICAL EQUIPMENT that was behind him Ellen!". "We have to get to the others and get off this ship" Lewis said. "How , we're in space if you remember!" Replyed Chelsea. "The same way we came in, on the tranceport ship, you know, the small ship in the docking bay", "I am sorry, but that's on the other side of the ship", "well, we better hurry then". They grabbed the guns from the two dead aliens and ran towards where the others were. After about 30 minutes of running and hiding from the patrols they found the others, they were still in the room with the containers helping to get everyone out. He looked up at the symboles above the door, this time they moved and morphed into words tbat he could read, it said Contentment Area. Lewis realised that the device tbat he still had on his ear could not only trancelate spoken words but it could also trancelate written words too.
They walked in and everyone was free, now was their time to escape.Lewis gathered everyone and told them what they were going to do. "We will pass the guns around and then make it to the docking bay, once were there we will take over one of their ships and leave this mother ship". They all agreed, Kasey came up to Lewis and told him that they had filled in everyone about what happed with the aliens, he thanked her and then she asked if he had seen Mitchell. "I am sorry Kasey, I still havent seen him, neither have Ellen, Jessica or Chelsea". With a look that could only be described as hopelessness, and the realisation that Mitchell is most likely dead, she fell to her knees and cryed. Christine came over and tryed to comfort her but nothing worked. Everyone had gathered and Lewis lead the way into the corridor followed by everyone else.
