You seem to be wanting space,
I can tell based upon the look on your face.
I don't know if you notice my worrisome stares,
But you might as well not, since all I receive are blank glares.
You say you're just tired,
But I see on your face that you believe the truth is something I'm not entitled.
Please tell me if you need me,
Tell me if you want me,
But just know that my heart isn't something that will easily be set free.
You have my heart in a cage,
It parades for you, like a fool, on a stage.
It makes you smile when you set me free,
But back in that cage it will always be.
Tell me if you need my heart,
Tell me if you want me to be ripped apart.
Tell me if I need to go,
But know that will be a low blow.
Tell me if I need to stay,
For you my heart strings would more than willing play.
They'd play a melody that would make you love me,
A melody that would play so perfectly.
I'd pour my every feeling out to you,
If you'd just accept me like I accept you.
If you'd only stop pushing me away,
As though you don't want me to stay.
Tell me, my love, should I stay?****************************
I know it's another rhyming poem, but that seems to be where I'm inspired lately.Don't get too used to them though, you should expect that not all my poetry will rhyme.
I hope you enjoyed this poem, vote, comment, and share if you please.
