"It's foggy outside." I hear my sister say, walking in the door from the cold weather outside.
I simply give her a nod of acknowledgement and step outside myself, prepared to walk to school with the person I never speak to.
I stare straight ahead, walking at a steady pace as the freezing winds bite bitterly at my skin. I notice how we are seeping into the fog with every step, becoming one with the cloudy skies.
The faint outline of street signs and trees are made out in the distance as blobs before becoming what they truly are when I am near them.
The lamp posts lining the road illuminate a soft glow of yellow light. The light is hardly seen with the cruel clouds smothering it.
The silencing fog is broken as loud roaring cars pass in the silence. Their bright white lights cut through the thickness of the clouds.
I let out a heaving sigh, trying to get my breath back, wiping my moistened hands on my jeans. I go back to observing the world around me, attempting to ignore the frizziness the moisture in the air will surly bring to my hair.
I notice the grass beside the sidewalk I'm walking on, the sidewalk that with every step resonates a soft noise when I step. The grass has a soft layer of dew, the fog helping it. The field that normally looks ominous in the mornings, looks even more so with the heavy fog settled on it. I notice a bare tree, one amongst others, it's branches are twisted, the cloudy sky makes it seem creepy.
I smile, liking the morning most would consider horrible, loving the low clouds called fog.

I haven't updated in a while, I'm sorry.I really have been lacking inspiration lately but I'm going to try to get back into writing.
If you couldn't guess, today is a foggy day... A poet lacking inspiration, will literally make a poem about anything, including a normal occurrence in nature...
I hope you enjoyed the poem, nonetheless.
