"A zombie apocalypse!" Is how every child answered the question. Our hopes were high, and dreams were big. We loved the thought of ugly, gruesome, slow walking undead humans roaming around and their only appetite was for brains.
"How do you think the world will end?"
A horrible sickness, some said, basing their knowledge off of movies with special effects and a far-fetched fantasy of diseases such as ebola spreading world wide.
I, at one time, hoped that one of these would be the case. But I've furthered my knowledge. I realized what I didn't know before and what would most likely happen.
"And you Rosa? How do you think the world will end?"
"Our own stupidity. War. We'll end ourselves. Or the Sun will collide with the Earth."
And with those words the woman turned away, muttering an okay.
She might not have liked my answer, probably wanting a far-fetched answer. But it won't happen, because I know better than to make believe of our perish.
