After introducing 'Dillon' to the rest of the Pines family, Stan and Ford were happy to accommodate him as well. They found an old bed in the store storage and put it back together, placing it in you (and now Dillon's) bedroom, beside yours on the other side of the room. After the air had settled and the Pines got to know Dillon a little, they let you both settle in and catch up with one another alone in your shared room for the night. As soon as the door shut you both sighed, collapsing on your separate beds.
"Geez, those Pines sure are a curious bunch." Bill said as he crawled up onto his bed and laid on his stomach. You glanced over at him and chuckled.
"You're telling me, though you have to admit, those twins are practically adorable," you said with a smile as you thought of the bubbly duo.
"I suppose, Pine Tree was fun to mess with last summer though. I possessed his body once, not for long though, after a few hours it collapsed from exhaustion and I was kicked back to the Mindscape," he huffed and annoyance as you shot up and crossed your arms over your chest with a glare.
"You possessed Dipper's body? For what?"
"Don't worry about it, that plan failed just like the rest of em'." He said with a chuckled and a dismissive wave. You huffed and laid back down, wondering if you had made the right decision to trust Bill. He had tormented the Pines last summer and now you brought him right back into their lives without them realizing it. You couldn't help but think Bill might be using you to get close to the Pines in order to repeat their last summer visit all over again. You opened your mouth to say something before a knock was heard at the bedroom door.
"(Y/n)? There's someone at the door asking for you!" Ford called from the other side. Your face scrunched in confusion as you slid off the bed, taking a glance at Bill who simply shrugged and laid back on his bed. You opened the bedroom door and walked out into the foyer before you stopped dead, your face dropped and your lips trembled.
"Oh (Y/n)! There you are! I thought I'd never find you my little rose!" The monster in the doorway spoke as you shook your head and backed away as he walked towards you.
"N-No! Stay away from me!" You said as you saw a smirk form on his face that only you could see. You turned and sprinted in the other direction, back to your room and slamming the door, locking it and backing away from it as you stumbled back, almost falling before a pair of arms caught you. You gasped and jumped away, steadying yourself as you sighed slightly, seeing it was only Bill.
"Woah, woah (Y/n), calm down! What's got you so worked up? You look like you saw some kind of-" a series of knocks on the door cut him off as you both looked in its direction.
"My rose, come out of there! It's just your Uncle Robby! You don't need to be afraid anymore, I've got you now, I'm here," he said, his tone wavering between creepy and protective. You shook your head as you walked backwards until you hit the wall, Bill looking at you like you were crazy as you hyperventilated and trembled in fear.
"(Y/n), it's just your Uncle, why are you so flipped out?" He asked softly so only you would hear. You looked at him dead in the eyes and his own widened slowly as you explained telepathically.
"You know those dark parts of my mind that you can't reach Cipher? You wanted to know so badly why my soul is troubled? He's one of the reasons. The reason I ended up passed out in the forest was because I was running from him. He tried to-"
"(Y/n)! Come on out! Your Uncle is waiting for you," Ford cut you off as you looked to the door.
"He tried to what? You didn't finish," Bill whispered as he looked endlessly confused and almost worried, was he actually concerned for you?
"I-I can't go... Bill..." you trailed off as you looked him, still trembling. "Don't let him take me." Was all you could manage before you heard a screwdriver undoing the door handle.
"I'm so sorry Sir, I don't know what's gotten into her." You heard Ford as he worked to take off the door handle.
"Oh it's quite alright! She has a habit of running away when she stays with me," Robby said a bit coolly. You gulped, figuring this was it, this was your fate and you couldn't escape. Bill looked at you and back to the door, over and over. Your words spin in his mind as he tried to decide what to do. He didn't know why, but he felt a strong sense of longing to help you out of this situation. For some reason... he hated seeing you afraid. He walked up to you, grabbing your shaking hand and interlocking his fingers with yours. You gasped, never having touched his skin before, you found it surprising that it was warm as he squeezed your hand tighter.
"Don't let go." He said softly before he raised his other hand, snapping his fingers. You felt your body become nonexistent once again as you closed your eyes. You opened your eyes, feeling yourself become whole again as you looked around, finally your vision focused on Bill who stood before you, still grasping your hand.
"You teleported is away..." you stated as you looked around, seeing you were in the forest beside a small creek. He nodded as he looked down at you, that seemingly concerned expression still plastered on his handsome face, making you blush softly.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm a lot better now that I'm away from that monster," you said bitterly, looking down at your intertwined fingers, his thumb absentmindedly brushing over your hand.
"What makes you call him that? What were you going to say to me back there?" He said, sounding as if he was begging to know. You shook your head as you looked up at him.
"I don't really want to talk about that right now Bill, I... I need a moment. If you don't mind," you said, tugging at your hand that was held by his. His eyes widened and a visible layer of pink cane to his cheeks as he let go of your hand and turned away from you as he nodded. You turned towards the small stream, walking up to it and sitting down on the edge. Reaching down and placing a finger in the water before staring at your tear-stained expression. You hadn't even realized you were crying as you sniffled and rubbed your eyes. You heard a snap and a box of tissues appeared in your lap, you blinked at the yellow box before turning to see Bill was laying flat on his back, staring up at the starry night sky.
"Thank you..." you mumbled as you tugged a tissue from the box, blowing your nose.
"You're welcome, I heard you sniffle."
"No, I mean for getting me out of there. You didn't have to do that. Though you did, you saved me without knowing it."
"I don't know why I felt so compelled to help you honestly... I felt this odd sensation of anger and pain when I saw you that scared, it was really weird. I hope it doesn't happen again."
"Well, regardless of your feelings on it, thank you for helping me."
"You're welcome, (Y/n)." He whispered softly as a small smile came to his face that you couldn't see. You stood up and carried the box of tissues with you, walking over to the demon and laying down on your back beside him, staring up at the sky. You silently reached out and took his hand in your own, intertwining your fingers once again. Bill felt his cheeks flush softly as he gave your hand a small squeeze, in which you returned after. Neither of you said a word as the sound of running water and the starry sky above you occupied the empty air.
