You glanced up at the opened of the cave before you, a look of uneasiness on your face as you looked to Dill, Mabel and Dipper.
"Guys... are you sure about this?" You questioned as you looked to Dipper in particular.
"Sure! What's the worst that could happen? We get attacked by a monster that holds us hostage and then slowly kills us by harvesting our organs? Puh-lease!" Mabel giggled cheerfully as you and Dill both looked at her like she had dropped her sanity somewhere along the way.
"We have to if we want to find the rose stone (Y/n)! This is the cave that the journal lead us too!" Dipper said excitedly as he closed the book and slipped it into his vest. You looked to Dill who simply shrugged and gave you a smile.
"What else we got to do (Y/n)? Sit around in our asses all summer long and be boring?" He chuckled as Mabel and Dipper giggled at his language. You huffed and rolled your eyes, crossing your arms and shaking your head.
"Fine, let's do this." You said with a small smirk as Mabel and Dipper cheered as you all began to walk forward into the cave as a group.
The cave was large and eerie on the inside, there was an overwhelming presence of paranoia resounding through your head as you kept walking, thinking you would hear a sound here or there. You looked nervous and pale, you felt clammy and uneasy, and Dill took notice. You gasped softly as you felt a hand slip into yours. You looked down finding the body attached to it was Dill.
"Calm down, (Y/n). I won't let anything snatch you and your tiny self away from me." Dill said to you through your mind and you blushed and ripped your hand away before responding.
"Stop trying to act like you care, you're still just a sleazy demon."
"Then why did you choose to trust me and make a deal with me if that's all I am capable of being?"  He retorted as you looked him now, he had a look of pure seriousness in his face. He wasn't kidding around this time.
"I believe in second chances Cipher, that's why. I think you've done some awful things in your past, but everyone has stuff they aren't proud of. I think everyone has a chance to regain their integrity and purity, it's just a matter of how badly you want it back." You finished and continued walking as Dill stopped dead in his tracks. He stood there, a soft pink on his cheeks and a buzz in his head that seemed to make him smile. He looked at you as you walked away, a small laugh escaped his lips as he whispered.
"Damn... you never cease to shock me (Y/n). You are one amazing girl."
The cave seemed to go on for ages as you all trudged along, making fun conversation in some moments and walking silently in others. You were all beginning to lose hope when you saw a small sparkle up ahead, noticed by none other than Mabel.
"Guys! Guys look! Look! Do you see that sparkle all the way down there! I think we are getting close to something!" She jumped in excitement.
"I sure hope so! My feet are killing me," Dill complained with a smile.
"Let's go check it out!" Dipper added as you all picked up the pace.
After running you reached the source of the mysterious sparkle which made you all stop and stare in awe. There before you was an opening in the cave which lead to a huge area, the ceiling and doorway were covered in purple crystals that's had assimilated into the rocks around them. Some hanging down more than others as they sparkled due reflecting off the light from a small pond looking area in the center of the room. It looked like the night sky, but it was absolutely breathtaking. You stood there, mouth agape and smiling as you laughed softly to yourself. You blushed softly as you felt Dill's hand slip into yours once again. You mentally noted how warm and comforting it was to hold his hand, despite your better judgement, you had to admit that you kinda like it.
On the other hand, Dill was a blushing mess and happy you weren't looking at him because despite the beautiful scene before him, he simply couldn't look away from you. He was lost in the way your eyes reflected off of the radiance of the crystals, making their (e/c) color that much more beautiful to him. He had been to many realms, many planets, had seen many people and many lives pass him by, but never had Bill Cipher seen something he thought was so painstakingly beautiful in his life.
"This is absolutely incredible! It's gorgeous!" You said breathlessly.
"No words really do it justice," Dill said as he continued to look at you. You looked at him and he snapped his head away, the blush on his face dark and warm.
"You're right Dill," you said as you smiled and looked back at the view, totally unaware of Dill's emotional turmoil.
"Hey guys! According to the journal the rose stone should be in that pool!" Dipper said as he scanned the page before slamming the book shut. You all nodded as you walked forward towards the small, natural, stone pool. You let go of Dill's hand to (unknowingly to one another) both your disappointment and concentrated on trying to spot the rose stone. As soon as you all got to the edge of the pool and looked down into the crystal clear water to see a small stone laying at the bottom in the white sand. You all gasped and smiled as Dipper reached down into the pool and reached into the shallow water, grabbing the stone and pulling it out, only to cheer when he saw it in his hand.
"This is it!" He said as he held the stone up and smiled triumphantly. You all gasped as you looked at the beautiful stone with the small, enchanted and ancient rose. You took it from his hand softly and held it in your own as you softly rubbed a finger over its surface. You all passed it around for a few minutes before Dill voiced a question.
"Who gets to keep it?" The twins looked to each other and then to Dill and then to you as they smiled and nodded.
"(Y/n) gets to keep it. Consider it a gift from us, and when you leave Gravity Falls at the end of summer you'll have something to remember us by." Mabel smiled as she handed you the stone. You held it gentle in your hands as you smiled and rushed to the twins, engulfing them in a hug as they laughed and hugged you back.
"Thank you so much, but you didn't have too, I'll never forget you guys as long as I live!" You smiled as you stepped back as you carefully pocketed the rose stone for safe keeping.
"I think it's about time we start heading back," Dill said as he walked up next to you. Mabel and Dipper nodded after saying that they were hungry, and beginning to lead the way out. While you all walked, Dill silently slipped his hand back into yours,at first you didn't react, though slowly you wrapped your hand around his as you two held hands and walked. A small smile came to your lips as he squeezed your hand, you returned the gesture once more, bringing a blush to rise in his cheeks and on yours slightly as you all made your way back to the shack for dinner.
