Three days had passed since the exploration of the cave and the discovery of the rose stone that now sat on your bedside table when you weren't busy admiring its beauty. In the three days that had past nothing extraordinary had happened, the twins, Dill and you had played some board games but other than that it had been kinda boring. Though one thing had struck you as odd in couple of days. When you were alone with Bill (you called him by his really name when you were both alone), he barley said a word to you. If you asked a question you were given and quick and snappy response. If you looked at him, you always caught him staring at you before he snapped his head in the opposite direction. If you tried to touch him he seemed to flinch and make a quick excuse as to why he was a bit busy and he needed to 'take a quick walk outside to clear his head'. The oddity in his behavior was something you had taken notice of and with him being so out of character it began to irk you severely. It was as if he had developed some sort of weirdness towards you in which he wanted to avoid you as much as he could despite the whole 'Attachment' deal.
Now here you sat, quietly reading on your bed as Bill sat on his, summoning fire into his hand and watching the blue flame dance before dousing it again. There was a thick tension hanging in the air and you felt like you were going to pop right under it. You suddenly slammed your book shut causing Bill to jump and his current flame to die. He blinked at you as you set the book down and looked at him dead in the eyes. You saw him gulp as he held the stare as long as he could manage before looking away from you and averting his gaze to the floor. You glared at him as you stood up and walked over to his bed, plopping yourself down in front of him as he scooted back, sitting in his pillow.
"Okay Cipher, the jig is up. You tell me what the hell's going on with you or I'm calling off our contract and taking that soul you borrowed back." You said while crossing your arms and sitting in front of him.
"What?! What the hell are you talking about? Have you gone crazy (Y/n)? There's nothing wrong with me! Now stop making empty threats and calm down." He said back sternly but with an odd side of caution as he still leaned away from you.
"Crazy? I'm not crazy, Cipher you know exactly what I mean! You've been avoiding touch, conversation, and even eye contact with me for the last three days! Did I do something or are you hiding something?" You said as your eyes narrowed and you got closer to him as he gulped and backed up, his back against the headboard of his bed as you inched closer. You noticed his face beginning to go a bit red the more you approached him.
"S-Stop it! You're getting a little too close don't you think?"
"Bill we held hands all the way home from the cave and now you seem afraid to be in a one mile radius of me! What the fuck is going on?!" You yelled as you slammed your hands to either side of his head, trapping him as you breathed heavy from anger. You're faces only inches apart as you stared into his visible eye. You had no clue why you were so worked up, you should be happy he's finally leaving you be... shouldn't you?
"Don't do this (Y/n)... I won't be able to stop myself if it starts..." he mumbled loud enough for only you to hear as you saw his gaze grow a bit darker. You looked at him confused as you saw that his cheeks were stained red and his eyes scanned your face, but for what you didn't know.
Within a split second you gasped and tried to scream but there was a lack of air from the force you had experienced. You blinked up at Bill who now hovered over your body as he pinned you down onto the bed by your wrists. Your face flushed red as you remembered the last time this happened only three days ago before the cave trip. You glared up at him as he stared down at you with a look of anger and a hint of fear.
"What are you doing Bill?"
"(Y/n)... listen to me," He said barely above a whisper as you opted to oblige. This was the most he had said to you in three days so why not hear him out. "You do something to me. I don't understand it and I don't know if I ever can, but there's something about you that makes me crazy. When I look at you or think of you I get all hot in the face and when we are close all I want to do is touch you. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and you make my heart beat go impossibly fast. I want you. In every way I can have you, I want you. That's the only way I can explain it. I long for you and your touch. At some moments I just want to hold you and protect you with all I have, I want to give you the best things and make you smile until it hurts. Though other times I want to kiss you until you can't breathe and I want you fuck you until you can't walk. I want to make you mine and mine alone. I don't know if this is an effect of the Attachment or some other oddity that comes with transforming into a human, but I love it and hate it at the same time. All I know is that the only way to stop myself from taking you like I know I could, is by not looking at, speaking to, or touching you. Now if you don't want me to stop then by all means tell me not to, but just know that you asked for it." He finished as he slowly looked into your eyes. You blinked up at him, at a complete loss for words, how where you meant to respond to- what even what that? A confession? You had half the mind to say he had lost his marbles but there was something way too sincere about his tone, the way he whispered it only to you made it feel too real to be crazy talk. You noticed now that your face was bright red and your breath had become a bit choppy from pressure. You stared up at the demon who awaited a verbal response, though he could easily read your mind he was choosing not too.
"Bill-"
"Do you trust me, (Y/n)?" He said suddenly. Your eyes widened as you looked into his, the question was a hefty one for sure. You felt that at this juncture, he had done nothing that was of malicious intent. Nothing he had done had put you or the twins in danger. With that thought in mind you slowly nodded simply. "Then allow me to try one thing. Close your eyes."
"What? Why Bill-"
"Do it. If you trust me then you know I'm not lying when I say I won't hurt you." He said as his eye searched yours. You nodded slowly as you let your eyelids softly shut as you let out a shaky breath, hopping you made the right decision. You felt Bill shift as you laid there, you felt warmth flood your face as he got closer to you, you felt his breath on your lips as he inched closer. You squeezed your eyes shut harder in anticipation as you heard his breath become shaky before you felt something different.
Your eyes snapped open as soon as his lips hit yours, you couldn't push him away due to being pinned down and you found struggling hard as his own knees pressed yours together. You didn't kiss back, simply not responding at first until you realized something- his lips were so warm, so soft against yours. One kiss couldn't hurt... right? With a bit of mental hesitation you began to kiss Bill back, moving your lips in motion with his slowly. The kiss was oddly sweet, yet Bill's trembling hands that squeezed your wrists tighter when you started to kiss back suggested that he was holding back with all his strength. Your eyes slowly melted closed as you began to actually quite enjoy the feeling of kissing Bill, but you gasped softly when he softly bit your lip, pulling away with it still between his teeth before letting it go as he broke for air. You let your eyes flutter open as both of you searched the others gaze, looking for something, but neither of you knew what. You were both slightly breathless as you painted softly, Bill let go of your wrists and moved to sit beside you. You sat up, watching Bill as he stared at the ground looking a bit shameful as he reached up and ran a finger over his lips.
"You kissed me back..."
"I did."
"Why?"
"You said you wanted to try one thing. I'm assuming you wanted to try kissing me. It's not really a 'try' if I don't kiss back, is it?"
"Did you like it?"
"Did you?" You shot the question back due to not being able to give a clear answer.
"You what to hear me say no. Though I would be lying to you if I said it."
"I'd rather you just tell me than lie."
"That's the point."
"Bill... I think I know what you are feeling."
"Then tell me, because I'm at a loss." He said as he finally looked at you. You matched his gaze before sighing and looking down to the floor in front of you.
"You're in love with me, aren't you?"
