Devil's Advocate (Bill Cipher x Reader)

Thirteen - Bet On It

   "How could this happen? It's practically impossible! It just isn't right for a demon to be able to fall in love, with a human nonetheless! You have to be lying to me, that's not the only explanation is it?" Bill ranged as he paced in front of you. He had been doing this for the last fifteen minutes after the words had left your mouth. The words that were a truth he refused to believe was accurate with everything he had.
   "Bill, you may be a demon, but you are in a human body and borrowing a human soul. You don't think it's the least bit possible that you fell for me?"
   "M-Maybe it's the Attachment then? Maybe I'm drawn to you and feel like I love you because I'm using part of your soul!"
   "You said yourself that they are totally separated entities and that the only thing they share is an energy source." You said softly enough for only Bill to hear as his face fell as he sat on the floor. Something crossed his features as he looked up at you and then away once again. That was it, he had finally accepted it.
   "Oh no... I think I am in love with you (Y/n)..." he trailed off as he sat there, letting the knowledge sink in. You sighed as you watched the conflicted demon process the fact that he now had emotions, though not just any emotion, an emotion that was the complete opposite of everything he knew and believed in. Though you too were going through your own personal turmoil. You had... surprisingly enough enjoyed your kiss with Bill. Though you weren't sure if you loved him just yet. Just because you enjoy someone's physical attention doesn't mean you love them. At this point, you were at a complete loss for how you felt for Bill.
"Bill... I-"
"You don't need to say it (Y/n), I know you don't love me. How could you? I'm just this heartless demon who's bent on destroying everything in my path... well, besides you." He said with a slight chuckle. You felt your heart sink as you gulped. There was something about his words that hurt you. Sure at this point you saw him as at least a friend (more an annoyance), but a very close friend sometimes. You didn't know enough about Bill to say you really knew him. All you knew was that he was a manipulative demon who used to be a floating triangle, who terrorized the Pines family the summer before, who is bent on world domination, and who recently gained a human from thanks to you. That can't be all there is to the infamous Bill Cipher, right?
"Bill, I hate to say it but... you're right. I can't force myself to love you, but I'm not saying it's impossible that I might in time," you say as you scratch the back of your head and blush softly. You looked to see Bill's expression shift to one of hope, his eye widening as he smiled a bit.
"You really think you could... learn to love me?"
"It would be less learning and more falling for you, I'm not gonna just tolerate you, if we are gonna be together then I'm gonna have to actually, truly love you." You smiled a bit subconsciously, the thought of being with Bill as a couple making your heart skip a small beat.
   "Well of course, I wouldn't want you to simply tolerate me. If you're to be my lover then I want you to be my queen," he said with a smirk as your face lit up red. He levitated up off the floor and floated over to you with a smirk as he tapped his chin. "I have an idea, my dearest. I propose a deal- well no, not a deal. A bet, if you will," he chuckled.
   "A bet? Cipher you've got me all wrong. I'm not a-" he cut you off with a finger to your lips.
   "Ah, ah, ah, listen to me. A bet in which we both participate. It's quite simple. If within say... two weeks, I can make you love me, you'll be mine and we give this relationship thing a go. But if you don't fall in love with me within these next two weeks, then I'll cease pursuing you and I'll end the Attachment and leave for the rest of the summer." He says with a confident look on his face. You thought for a moment and tapped you chin. You smiled to yourself before giggling and shrugging.
   "You seem so confident that you can sway my heart, it'll be funny to see you try, Cipher. When you lose this bet your face will be priceless when you realized you gave up a summer with me. It's a bet," you said sticking out your hand with a devilish smile.
   "God damn it, your hot when you make deals, you'd make a good demon. It's a bet, darling," he purred as he smirked and let his hand engulf in blue flames and connect with yours before shaking in sync. When the flames absorbed into both your hand's he pulled you close to him with a strong grip causing you to gasp as you were so suddenly nose to nose with him. He smirked at your shock and gently kissed your nose as you blushed harder.
   "This is going to be a long two weeks..." you huffed as you glared back at him.
   "This is going to be the easiest bet I have ever won." He chuckled as he let got of you and floated away to the couch in the room. Plopping down and snapping, a golden hour glass appearing on your bedside table. You looked at it confused as you looked back to him.
   "When all the sand reaches the bottom, the two weeks are up. Also, it's infused with a kind of 'deal breaker' charm. If you at any point break that hourglass, the bet will be off and things will resume as they are now. The Attachment will continue until the end of the summer and the bet will no longer be valid." He grinned as you nodded in understanding.
   "Didn't know you could be so generous, Cipher, giving me an out of sorts." You smiled as you got up off his bed and wandered back to yours. Picking up the hourglass and looking it over.
   "Well, I can't help that I have a soft spot for such a beautiful girl," He said with a wink as you blushed. You rolled your eyes and scoffed and laid down in your bed, putting the hourglass on your side table once again turning your back to the dream demon who was chuckling to himself. You sighed as you closed your eyes, a soft blush still staining your cheeks. You were sure the demon couldn't make your heart love him in two weeks, but it would be kind of hard to resist blushing at his ever present charm and flattery.
