I'm Having HIS Baby!

Part 12

2 months later...

Today we are finding out the gender of the baby. I hit my 4 month mark 9 days ago. It's now the 21st of May and baby is due on the 11th of October which is Alex's birthday.

"Are your mum and dad meeting us at the clinic?" I asked as I slipped my slightly swollen feet into my converse.

"I think so, Hannah is on her way over here now so once she arrives we can set off, is that okay for you?" I just nodded as I took my prenatal vitamins.

I stood by the mirror and lifted up Alex's hoodie which I was wearing to reveal my growing bump.

"Alex come here a minute" He came and stood behind me and put his hand on the bump.

"I want to take a cute picture so that when I get the ultrasound today I can but them both in the baby book your mum bought us" He kissed my cheek and placed both hands on the bump as I took the photo in the mirror.

"Mollie how have you been doing?" Nurse Foster asked as I sat on the bed.

"Good, I no longer have morning sickness but instead I gained sore and swollen feet and a bad back"

"There's more to come yet darling" Kat added.

"Okay well lets look at your baby shall we?" We all nodded in unison.

"Okay so here it is, looks like it has its finger in its mouth, its very healthy and looks a good size, luckily baby is being kind and so I can see the gender, but its your decision whether you find out or not?"

"We want to know" Me and Alex said together.

"Okay well its a....

Girl! Congratulations, you have a little girl who will be here before you know it".

"Oh my god Alex were going to have a daughter" I whispered.

"Were going to have a beautiful little girl" He said as he held me in his arms.

"Oh Mick our first grandchild is a little princess" Kat cooed.

"Thank god, if it was a boy then id have to play football with him, and I don't do football but its a girl so that means I can take her shopping and we can have sleepovers and oh I'm so excited!" Hannah blabbed.

I put a picture of the ultrasound on my Instagram and put the caption as 3 pink love hearts to show that we were expecting a girl the comments were flooding in.

Once we finish at the clinic we headed to the shopping centre because we could finally start buying for the baby now that we know the gender. Alex and Mick went off to do the shop for paints and thinks they would need to decorate the nursery with because Alex wants to start decorating it as soon as possible. Me, Kat and Hannah went shopping for the important things like the pram, car seat, clothes, toys and teddies, nappies, changing mats, pacifiers, you know the things we actually really do need considering the baby will be in our room for the first few months but boys will be boys.

The amount of money spent on this baby today was ridiculous, who knew having a baby would cost so much, especially considering that half of the things we bought we didn't actually need we just thought they looked pretty like the 12 teddy bears we bought. We met Ebony at a café and had a catch up with her life, she said that her and Joe miss having me at there place but they do enjoy the alone time, I know too much information. After a good few hours of shopping we met back up with Alex and Mick who had boxes full of paint and all the boyish things they buy. I went to pick up some of the bags but got stopped.

"Moll take it easy, I don't want you to be in pain later with your back, I will grab them bags for you" He said trying to take them from me.

"Alex the bags are light and I'm pregnant not fucking dying"

"Moll, I care about you that's all"

"I know and I love you for it but just calm down nothing is going to happen to me by carrying a few bags with fluffy teddies in" I laughed.

We got home and finally had some alone time because since Alex and his Mum sorted out the slight issue they had she has been coming round and if she isn't here then we are going over to their house so it was nice to finally be able to spend a night just me Alex and bumpy cuddled up on the sofa watching films.

"What film do you fancy watching princess?"

"How about a Disney film?"

"No baby, I will watch anything but a Disney film"

"What why?"

"Because you always end up crying yourself to sleep afterwards"

"Fine then can we watch Pitch Perfect?"

"Of course" He said putting it on through Netflix.

When the film finished we went upstairs and put our night time outfits on which for Alex consisted of nothing but his boxers and for me it was just one of Alex's t-shirt because they were so warm and they smelt of him, plus they kept baby bump warm on cold nights.
