Quinn, Puck, Sam, Tina, Sam, and Artie standing off to the side, as Blaine examines body of Karofsky. Finally, Blaine stands up.
"Well, Blaine?" Finn asked.
"No question of heart failure or anything like that. Dave was hit with a life preserver or some such thing on the back of the head." Blaine explained.
"We now know exactly where we are. This morning, while I was sitting on the terrace, I observed all your activities. You were searching the island for a murderer?" Finn asked.
"Well, Blaine didn't but we were" Puck point to Artie and Sam.
"You'll came, doubtless, to the same conclusion I did. That the deaths of Mike, Mercedes, Brittany and Kurt were neither accidental nor were they suicides. You also, I presume, reached the conclusion as to the purpose of Mr. Weston inviting us here." Finn said.
"He's a lunatic!" Sam screamed.
"That may well be so. But our main preoccupation is to save our own lives." Finn said.
"But there's no one else on the beach." Artie said.
"In the sense you mean, no. I came to that conclusion early this morning. Nevertheless I'm strongly of the opinion that Mr. Weston is on the house, very much so. It's perfectly clear. Mr. Weston is one of us..." Finn said, everyone looking at each other..
"Oh no, no, no..." Quinn responded quick.
Quinn, this is no time for refusing to look facts in the face. We're all in grave danger. Of the nine of us left, one of us is a bogus little soldier boy. You all agree? Of the fourteen people who came to the beach, five are definitely cleared of suspicion. These are Kurt, Brittany, Mike, Mercedes and Karoksky. Is there anyone else whom we can definitely eliminate from suspicion on the evidence which is in our possession?" Finn said.
"What about Blaine? He, to my mind, seems pretty much ruled out." Puck added.
"On what interest?" Finn reply.
"He hasn't got the brains and his husband was killed." Puck said to Finn
"My point is that there can't be any exceptions on account of character, position, or probability. Is there one of us who could not could not have administrated drugs to either Kurt, Brittany, Mercedes or Mike, and who also had no opportunity of killing Karofsky? Finn added and looking to every one of his friends.
"Now you're talking, Finn! About Mercedes and Mike, it's already been suggested that someone went outside and slipped it in through the window. A person actually in the room could have done it even more easily. Any of us could have done it." Sam said.
"And Kurt, Brittany?"
"Well, the people who stand out there are his husband and her wife. Either could have done it –"
Blaine jumps up, angrily. "I protest – this is absolutely uncalled for! I swear I didn't do anything to Kurt and I can vouch for Santana, she is not here but She couldn't done it either."
"Blaine. Your indignation is very natural. Nevertheless you must admit that the facts have got to be faced. Let us now consider the position of the other people present. All of us could have easily done it." Finn said.
"I was nowhere near Kurt or Brittany! All of you can swear to that!" Quinn reply quickly.
"As far as my memory serves me the facts were these – will anyone please correct me if I make a misstatement? Kurt was lifted onto the sofa by Mike and Mr. Lombard and Artie went to her. He sent Blaine for brandy. Blaine came back with the brandy, which, of course, he could have tampered with before he entered the room. The brandy was given to the Kurt, that also Brittany drank before going up and shortly afterwards Blaine and Artie assisted him up to bed." Finn stated.
"That's just what happened, and that lets out Finn, Puck, myself, and Quinn." Sam said.
"Ah, but there are some other possible eventualities. Upstairs in his room, Kurt is lying in bed. The brandy that Artie gave him begins to take effect. He is sleepy. Supposing that at that moment there is a tap on the door and someone enters bringing her, shall we say, a tablet, or a draught, with the message that 'Blaine says you're to take this.' Do you imagine for one moment that she would not have obeyed at once, without thinking twice about it?" There was a short silence. "We now come to the death of Karofsky. That took place this morning. I will ask anyone who thinks that they have an alibi to please state it at once. I admit that I myself have none. I sat on the chair on the terrace for the whole morning until the alarm sounded for lunch, but there are several periods in which I could have walked down to dock, killed karofsky, and come back. There is only my word for the fact that I never left the terrace, but there is no proof." Finn stated.
"I was with Puck and Artie all morning." Sam said.
"You went to the house for a rope." Artie reply.
"Of course I did. I went straight to the house and back." Sam said to Artie.
"You were there a long time..." Artie reply to Sam.
"What the heck to you mean by that, Artie?" Sam turning to him.
"I only said you were there a long time." Artie replying to Sam.
"Well, it took me some time to find it." Sam said.
"While he was gone, were you two together?" Finn turned to Artie and Puck.
"Yes. Actually, Puck went off himself for a few minutes, I remained where I was." Artie told Finn.
"I wanted to see the possibilities of communicating to the city. I was only gone a minute or two." Puck said.
"That's right. Not long enough to murder someone." Artie said.
"Did either of you glance at your phones?" Finn asked.
"No." Artie reply.
"I left mine in the house." Puck reply.
"A minute or two is an unclear expression. Tina?" Finn said.
"I took a walk with Quinn up to thebeach. Afterwards I sat on the terrace in the sun." Tina reply.
"I don't think I noticed you there." Finn said.
"I was round the corner of the house to the east. I was out of the wind there. I sit there till lunchtime." Tina said to Finn
"Quinn?"
"I was with Tint early this morning. After that I wandered about a bit. Then I went down and talked to Dave."
"There remains Blaine. Though I doubt his evidence will add anything to our sum of knowledge. Blaine!" Finn said. "What were your activities before lunch?"
"I had been busy all morning with lunch prep and cleaning the house a little bit. I took cocktails onto the terrace and then went up to my room to remove my things. I didn't look out of the window and didn't see anything unusual." Blaine said.
Puck quietly to Quinn. "The summing up will now take place!"
"We can't say definitely that any one person is completely innocent. I repeat, one of us is very dangerous and possible insane. There is no evidence as to who that person could be. I want you all to consider this carefully and be on your guard. Take no risks and be alert to danger."
Puck quietly. "The court will now take place..."
