the sunshine danced into the bedroom where the couple slept, spooning each other and in deep sleep. jisoo was the first to stir, feeling the strong arms of his boyfriend securing his position as he breathed on the older's nape. jisoo groaned and remembered that he had to be at the daycare around 9:00 am. he tried to pry out of seokmin's grip but to no avail when the younger pushed their bodies closer together.
"seokmin, i know you're awake," jisoo said, voice groggy and raspy. there was no answer from the younger which made him roll his chocolate eyes. "i've gotta go to work, let go"
he waited for a few moments but still got no answer. jisoo began to whine childishly and thrashed his legs under the thick blankets.
"stop moving, it's too early" the other grumbled.
"i'll let you come with me" jisoo bribed after thinking for a while. that seemed to do the trick as seokmin threw himself off the bed and dragged the sleepy jisoo with him. the older found that he could barely keep his eyes open as he clung onto seokmin for dear life or else he would fall to the ground and sleep until noon.
"and you were complaining that i wasn't getting up" seokmin laughed, grabbing hold of jisoo's waist and hoisting him up as he rested his head on the younger's shoulder.
"coffee" jisoo murmured in his sleepy voice while stumbling along with seokmin to the kitchen. he rubbed his eyes and blinked to try and wake up, demanding a close-mouthed kiss from his boyfriend who gladly gave him his request.
"why don't we eat out today? it's only 7:36 now" seokmin suggested and jisoo agreed, deciding to shower first in hopes that it would get him feeling more energised.
he entered the bathroom and turned on the shower, watching the steam rising around him. jisoo stripped from his pyjamas and stepped inside the three glass-walled receptacle, sighing at the warm water hitting his bare skin. it was therapeutic and calming. jisoo quickly got into his routine of washing his hair, body, and face so that he wouldn't waste water. when he got out, jisoo wrapped a baby blue towel around his hips and cleared the mirror of steam. he was then taken back by his reflection, there were a few light red spots on his neck. he looked like he had a strange disease.
sighing, jisoo exited the bathroom and went into the bedroom. he wore his jeans, a beige knitted sweater, a navy blue coat and wrapped a scarf around his neck. by the time he was done changing, seokmin was in the process of showering which allowed jisoo to lounge on the couch and watch whatever seokmin had left the tv on; it was the volleyball program.
and at 7:53, they were ready to head out.
the couple walked to a local cafe that was located next to the train station. there weren't many people inside as it was quite early in the morning but that was a good thing; they didn't have to wait that long for their food and jisoo was in desperate need for his morning caffeine fix. how else would he keep up with the children?
the older basically gulped down the scolding liquid when it was presented to him, trying to ignore the burning sensation in his throat. he sighed out, licking off the foam that was on his top lip. seokmin had to stop eating his ham and cheese croissant because of how fast jisoo had drunk his coffee as if it was water.
"i don't know if that was impressive or terrifying" seokmin admitted with jisoo smiling cutely while eating his omelette, cheeks puffing out due to the amount of food in his mouth.
they finished their food in half an hour and found themselves waiting at the train station, seokmin's head on jisoo's shoulder as the older played with his short hair and scrolled through his instagram feed. when the train came, they stood up as there weren't any free seats left and jisoo could only cling onto seokmin as there also wasn't any room on the railing for him to hold. everyone seemed to be heading all around the city recently, seeing as it was the middle of the school holidays and students probably wanted to soak in as much free time before school crashed on top of them.
