jisoo had no classes today and they both had no work; freedom was right around the corner. the two lay lazily in bed, going in and out of sleep along with thinking about what they wanted to do for the day.
the sky was quite gloomy, with thick clouds raging in the sky accompanied by subtle raindrops. jisoo checked the weather on his phone, hoping that a storm wasn't on its way. he really wanted to go outside this particular day. being cooped up in a small apartment without fresh air or being able to properly connect with the outside world made jisoo feel sluggish and lazy; even if he would be stuck with seokmin. luckily, the forecast claimed that it would only be cloudy with a massive temperature drop. jisoo could handle that.
"there's a carnival in the city tonight" jisoo spoke, glued on his phone as he scrolled through the information of the event. "how about that?"
seokmin thought and nodded in agreement. "yeah, okay. that also gives us time to rest up"
"seokmin, we've been in bed for the past hour, i think we're well rested," jisoo said with a laugh laced through his words.

the yellow toned lights and sounds of food sizzling, combined with the tightness of the crowd sent immense comfort to jisoo. he loved carnivals and the feelings he would experience while walking through the stalls and admiring the decorations. jisoo had seokmin's hand in his as they strolled down the paved path with thick coats and scarfs. the temperature had dropped drastically this past week and it was finally feeling like christmas. jisoo didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.
the man loved christmas; out if the people who celebrated it, who didn't? it's time to spend with your family and to spread cheer and happiness all around. jisoo had only spent one christmas in korea, watching the snow from his old bedroom window and finding a place in front of the fireplace to keep warm but no matter where he was, christmas always felt the same. maybe it was all the love and support from family around him that jisoo associated with the national holiday. he had always been surrounded by positive energy and jisoo was always thankful for that.
jisoo then was ripped from his thoughts when seokmin began raving about the cotton candy stall a few meters ahead. jisoo allowed the younger to run off to buy the sweet as he waited off to the side.
"we've constantly been bumping into each other, it must be a sign," a deep voice said, sending shivers down jisoo's spine as he turned to see who had whispered in his ear.
"sejong, you scared me" the younger laughed, placing a hand over his slightly rapid heartbeat. sejong smiled fondly at that.
seokmin gripped the plastic bag full of cotton candy with a grin, reviving the change he needed before walking away. what seokmin didn't want to see today was cha sejong with his arm tightly around jisoo's waist and speaking in his ear.
would this guy ever stop? did he have a fucking limit or a line he would cross before figuring out that he was taking all this way too far? seokmin was fuming and his random craving for something sweet had been trampled by the overpowering sensation of bitterness and anger. he marched over to the two, glaring right at sejong who hadn't even noticed the younger yet as he was too busy staring at jisoo and trying to make him laugh.
swiftly, seokmin grabbed his boyfriend's wrist and gripped it protectively. the older didn't think much of it as it was normal for seokmin to take hold of jisoo's wrist or hand but sejong had rolled his eyes.
"seokmin. it's nice to see you" the sarcasm drenching sejong's words almost made the university student chuckle.
"you too" the younger nodded politely though half-heartedly.
