jisoo swiped the pallet knife along the surface of the thick cardboard, almost getting shivers of satisfaction at the sound. he scraped at the hardened surface multiple times with the light beige brown, highlighting the sandy shore of the beach he was currently painting. jisoo had paint smeared across his cheek and finger tips from when he blended the colours in a few moments ago with his hands and across his shirt. it was the forth t-shirt he had ruined this month due to his painting. he never cared how messy he got, his occupation was too much fun to say the least and jisoo was so lost in his own little world of creativity to pay attention of where the colours made their mark.

at the age of 26, jisoo was already living his dream of being a professional artist. he usually stuck with painting on large scaled spaces but he was never opposed to a sketch here and there. jisoo was starting to get quiet popular now days as he promoted his art works on his social media that had gained a large following and it also helped by being together with one of the most wealthy and successful ceos in korea.

yes, lee seokmin, the man who only stored instant ramen in his kitchen cupboards inside in one bedroom apartment was now the owner of a multi-million company. jisoo couldn't believe how far seokmin - and himself - had come since their some what struggling university days. they were just two, just turned adults with aspiring dreams that 5 years later, they had achieved.

jisoo looked up at the ticking clock above his easel and saw that it was 7 in the morning. wincing, jisoo added the last few touches on his painting before beginning to pack up. he had woken up at around 3 am, unable to fall back asleep even with seokmin hugging him from behind and decided to head back downstairs of their shared house where he had been only a few hours prior. jisoo always found that creating art eased his mind and allowed him to relax.

in the midst of cover up his paints, jisoo felt hands clamp on his shoulders, slightly massaging his tense mussels. jisoo lolled his head to the side with a hum, smiling and turning around. seokmin loomed over the older, wearing a plain white shirt and pyjama pants with droopy eyes and a tired grin. jisoo stood on his tip toes and kissed his boyfriend's prominent nose.

"how long have you been down here? stop messing up your sleep schedule" seokmin murmured, hiding a yawn behind his hand before snaking his arms around jisoo's waist.

"yeah, i know. i drank too much coffee yesterday, i think" jisoo shrugged, pressing the side of his head on seokmin's chest. "do you have to work today?" he then asked with a little pout.

"yes" seokmin chuckled, keeping his answer brief and he played with jisoo's dyed black locks. "do you miss me that much that you have to ask me that every morning?"

"yes" jisoo replied, mimicking the younger's answer from before. "i'm too used to your stupid face now that i need you next to me all the time"

"stupid face?" seokmin asked in an offended tone, looking down at jisoo and making eye contact with the other who confirmed,

"yeah, stupid face"

"that's incredibly rude"

"you know what else is rude? leaving your boyfriend in this massive house by himself for ten hours every day" jisoo joking glared but laughed when seeing seokmin's frowning face, kissing his lips only shortly. "i was kidding~ your work is very important"

seokmin rolled his eyes and hugged jisoo tighter. "just make sure you rest today, okay? i don't want you sleep deprived"

jisoo nodded at that and hooked his arms around seokmin's neck. "okay. you should start to get ready though, we've been standing here for three minutes"
