he stared at his beautiful face, dreading to leave him alone in this apartment. seokmin had woken up about five minutes ago but kept putting off getting out of bed due to the fact that his boyfriend looked so adorable with his cheek pressed against the pillow. seokmin fought the urge to wake him up with a sweet kiss as he knew jisoo would probably smother him with the blankets for waking him up at 6:09 am.
seokmin watched jisoo intently. he noted the way his lips parted slightly and how he would breathe through his mouth or the way his hair fell elegantly over his forehead, creating a shaggy bowl cut that made the older look ten times more attractive. seokmin just couldn't believe that at the beginning of this year, he had no idea who hong jisoo was and the younger always thought of that. what if jisoo hadn't put his notebook in seokmin's bag?
would they even have spoken at all or would seokmin be living his old life, completely oblivious to the man in his one class that pined over him? it was scary knowing that their future had changed due to a little mistake jisoo had made a few months back and if that mistake never occurred, seokmin would never be laying in bed with the person he held dear. seokmin always thanked fate-or even god-for this relationship but maybe not for how it started off. it was rocky and unsteady at first but now, seokmin could never see himself living without the man that slept in front of him.
seokmin found himself so lost in jisoo's visuals that he hadn't even realised his phone alarm going off again from when he pressed snooze a few minutes ago. when jisoo began to stir, seokmin quickly pressed stop and looked back, making sure he hadn't woken jisoo up. he didn't and that made him sigh out in relief. seokmin pulled the covers over the older's shoulders and slowly shuffled out of bed after placing a careful kiss on jisoo's head. a pleased smile made its way to seokmin's lips as he wondered over to his wardrobe where he picked out a pure white dress shirt, blank pants and an ocean blue tie. seokmin brushed through his hair and styled it by pushing it back before securing the tie around his neck. he approved of his look and went off to the kitchen to get some coffee.
while waiting for the coffee to finish dripping, seokmin stared out of the walled window of his balcony. it showed off the city skyline perfectly with the sun beginning to rise slowly behind the tall buildings. seokmin loved the sight he was presented with every morning and it reminded him how lucky he was to be born with this life. some days, seokmin would find himself sat on the balcony with a cup of hot chocolate in his hands and staring off at the city below him, lost in thought. it was peaceful and everything he wanted in a home.
what helped seokmin escalate from his own little world was a pair of arms wrapping around his waist. seokmin smiled, looking back to see a sleepy jisoo with his cheek pressed against his shoulder blade and chuckled.
"you should have woken me up too" jisoo mumbled.
"i thought you would have gotten mad" seokmin admitted with jisoo dropping his arms and lazily laughing along with the younger.
"maybe in normal circumstances, but i've got an early class today" jisoo explained, slightly shoving seokmin out of the way to reach out for the coffee his boyfriend was making for himself and taking the younger's mug while he was at it.
"hyung" seokmin whined with a pout, watching jisoo drinking out of the mug with a menacing look in his eyes. deciding he was too lazy get another cup for himself, seokmin stole jisoo's coffee and sipped out if it. the two stood in the kitchen, taking turns in drinking the scolding liquid in silence until it was all gone. jisoo leaned up to kiss seokmin's jawline before walking off, claiming that he needed to shower but seokmin quickly stopped him so that he could brush his teeth as work was in thirty minutes.
seokmin had made sure to brush his teeth for approximately two minutes and gargled for about one before smiling at his blinding white teeth in the mirror. he exited the bathroom and found jisoo sitting on the couch with a phone firmly in his hands, staring down at the screen with a bored expression.
"jisoo hyung, i'm leaving now" seokmin called to him, putting on his coat jacket as he did. the younger of the two went to turn around to grab his briefcase from the breakfast bar stool but jisoo was already standing behind him with said briefcase in his hands. seokmin gladly took it from jisoo's grasp as he was pulled down for a long, closed mouth kiss that seokmin smiled against.
when they pulled apart, jisoo readjusted seokmin's tie which allowed his hands to smoothly drag up his chest and wrap around the younger's neck. they grinned happily at each other with jisoo being the first to break the silence with a pleasant hum.
"you look so mature now," he told the other. "i like it a lot"
"i like you a lot" seokmin then counteracted.
"i know. i like you a lot too" the older confirmed, pecking seokmin's lips once more and pushing him away. "okay, now get outta here. you'll be late"
seokmin laughed and waved to his hyung just before the door closed on jisoo's radiant face.

seokmin typed profusely on the computer and turned his shoulder when the printer started to make its strange scratching noise. he got up to get the documents and made sure everything was in check, which it was. seokmin walked out of his cubical and over to his neighbouring one where he found his senior, cha hakyeon working away as usual.
"hakyeon sunbae, the documents" seokmin spoke aloud, grabbing the attention of the older who smiled upon seeing the intern. he took the papers from seokmin and skimmed through them briefly and placed them neatly on his desk..
"ah, thank you, seokmin. you know, only five days of being here and you're already doing great. keep working hard" hakyeon complimented and advised with seokmin blushed fiercely at his words. he smiled back bashfully and nodded his head down in gratitude, thanking the man and leaving right after.
seokmin breathed out as he leaned back into the rolling chair. he may just be an intern but all this work experience made him feel so motivated about his future. seokmin felt as if he could conquer anything that would be thrown at him and felt as if he was already capable. as seokmin straightened his posture, his phone dinged from the left of the computer.
