Unis' pov
Cory and I were walking through the huge forest we'd encountered. We were just talking and having a good time. It's been 10 years since the day I met Cory. Since that day we have spent all our time traveling through forests and towns looking for a place that we can belong. I feel sad for Cory
Though, almost wherever we go people run from him or treat him like a monster. It isn't fair. If they would only try to get to know him, they would find out what a incredible person he is.

"Do you think this'll be the place?" Cory suddenly asked, breaking me from my thoughts. "Hmm?" I hummed in confusion. "Rocka, do you think they will accept us?" We were heading towards the town of Rocka. It's the 3rd most popular village in the area we are in. It is also know as 'Boulder City'. I shrugged, "I dunno Cory. We'll just have to see which way the wind will blow. They might accept us, but we'll never know until we get there." I answered. Cory stayed silent.

We made our way slowly to the town, and I kept my ears sharp for any sounds of the village. My steps were slow and thoughtful. In the 10 years I'd been wearing this blindfold I'd learned how to get around. I had torn the rubber bottoms of my shoes out so that I could feel the vibrations of the ground. All that was left of the bottoms of my shoes was the thin bit of cloth that separated the bottoms of the shoes from where your feet go. I ripped them out for the vibrations, I needed to feel them.

Using the vibrations of my steps is how I make my way around. Every step I take echos through the ground and back to me. I absorb the vibrations that come back to my feet to see what's around me.(sorta like Toph from Avatar) It takes alot of concentration, but I've learned it well enough to do it without thinking. I still trip sometimes, and I can't quite sense somethings around me, such as spike bushes. So, those are pretty much my worst nightmare.

I also rely on hearing and smell alot. I'm best at my sense of touch, but I don't like to use that alot without Cory watching me. I know it seems weird, but with touch you never know what's coming. I could be touching ANYTHING and not realize it. I just don't like it.

Cory had a interesting way of doing things as well. His camera lense made him an amazing hunter. He was a master with a bow because he could zoom in and focus on things with his camera lense. I loved the sound that the bow would make when it released an arrow, it's so satisfying, and it usually means I'll be eating soon.

I heard Cory sigh beside me, and that immediately brought me rushing out of my thoughts. "What's wrong, friend?" I asked, turning my head in the direction I heard him walking in. He was silent for a few moments before answering, "It's just that..Why do we even try?" "What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. I felt his stare bore into me as he answered, "We travel for days at a time looking for a place to belong, but what makes you think this place will differ from the others? Why do we keep trying? All that ever happens is we get chased out, or we get shunned by the towns and are forced to leave!" His voice got more angry the more he said.

"That may be true Cory, but we HAVE to keep trying. If we stop trying we will never get a chance for anything. What if we stop now and Rocka is the right town? I agree that people are cruel and judging, but we can't give up on them. Someone out there will care. I know it. There IS a place for us somewhere Cory. We are all put on earth for a reason." I answered in a calm tone. Cory chuckled lightly, "How do you do it?" He asked. "Do what?" I wondered. "Stay positive all the time! You always say that there is a place for us, and you somehow always find hope that the humans can change! I...I just don't understand." He said, "I just wish there were more people like you Uni.." He whispered sadly, his voice cracking as he said it. "Don't worry, Cory." I said reaching out until my hand was on his back comfortingly. Then suddenly I heard the distant sound of music and talking. "Cory!" I cheered, "I heard the town! We're almost there!" I heard Cory sigh, then I could almost feel his smile. "Lets go." He answered, so we quickened our pace.
