Cory's POV "Uni?" I questioned as I felt Uni fall against me. Worry pricked in me, and I slightly shook him. "Uni...? Uni, are you okay?" I questioned, but I didn't receive an answer. I sighed, He must have passed out... I thought worriedly. Then, I decided that I should check for injury, in case he was seriously hurt. I noticed he had a bruise on the bottom of his jaw, and his lip was slightly bleeding. Then, I noticed the blood slowly dripping out of his nose. I growled under my breath, "I will find whoever did this to him...And they're going to have a VERY bad time..." I murmured, starring down at Uni.
I then noticed the tears that still seemed to be running down his cheeks, but something was off about his tears. I gently wiped my finger down his cheek, wiping away his tear stains, then I looked at my finger in confusion. A gray coloration laced my finger... What? Grey tears? I wondered to myself. Could it be part of his curse... I continued to wonder, then I shook my head. No, Uni needs my help NOW. I thought to myself. Then I bent down to pick him up.
I grunted slightly as I picked him up off the ground. I held him bridal-style, but it was kinda awkward. Not awkward because I was holding him, it was awkward because Uni was almost as tall as me, so it was hard to carry him. He was light, and I managed to carry him through town, though. As I walked, I kept a keen eye out for any of our Shred Squad members. This town is bad news, and I don't believe that It's safe anymore. People were looking at me weird, but It's nothing that im not used to. Then, I saw two boys in an alleyway, smirking at Unis unconscious body. One wore a red dinosaur hoodie with a big R on the front, and the other wore a purple dinosaur hoodie with a green stomach. But the second boy caught my lense, well specifically his eyepatch. They seemed yo notice me watch8ng them, and they disappeared in the alleyway. I growled under my breath, "It was TOTALLY those guys..." I murmured. "Cory!" Someone suddenly yelled, making me jump and nearly drop Uni. I looked forward and saw Jon running towards me, followed by Ashlie. "What happened to Uni!?" He exclaimed. I growled, "Uni got ambushed.. I found him, and he was having a panic attack because his blindfold was off, then he passed out." I explained bitterly. They nodded in understanding, and Jon was staring at Uni with sadness and worry. "Are we gonna leave the town?" Ashlie questioned. I nodded, "It doesn't seem safe anymore."
Ashlie nodded in understanding, "Where's Nick and Tommy?" Jon asked. I looked at him, "I don't know, but we need to find them." I said. Then, I heard guitar music ring through the air. It was loud and well played. I looked in the direction that the music was coming from, "Tommy plays guitar..." I murmured. I began walking that way, glancing at Uni again to make sure that he was ok. As we approached where the music was, we saw Tommy and Nick. Tommy was sitting on the ground against a building, expertly strumming his guitar, and Nick was sitting next to him. Then, Nick began to sing quietly along with Tommys guitar.
(Play song if you'd like) "I thought I saw the devil, this morning...Lookin' in the mirror, drop of rum on my tongue." He sang quietly. "With the warning, to help me see myself clearer.." He continued, and I saw Tommy smile. "I never mean't to start a fire...I never meant to make you bleed..." Nick sang, and I was suprised by his amazing voice. "I'll be a better man today." Then, Tommy joined in, "I'll be good, I'll be good, and I'll love the world like I should.." They sang. "Yeah, I'll be good, I'll be good, for all of the times....I never could." They continued, a small crowd around them, enjoying the music. "My past has tasted bitter, for years now... So I weild an iron fist...Grace is just weakness, or so I've been told." I smiled at the music, it definently lighted the mood. "I've been cold, I've been merciless.. But the blood on my hands scares me to death....Maybe Im waking up...Today." They sand, then they both seemed to notice us. I saw Nick look at Uni, then he gasped. He jumped to his feet and ran over to us, and so did Tommy. I saw the audience look disappointed when they left, but they soon walked away. "What happened to Uni!?" Nick questioned. I explained what I'd told Jon, and he looked angered. "Who would do such a thing!?" Nick exclaimed. I growled, "Maybe the dino twins.." I muttered. The others looked at me in confusion, "Well, we should get outta here. This place obviously isn't safe." Tommy said, but he seemed angered about something else. I nodded, "Let's go."
I walked behind the others as we walked towards the exit gate. Then Tommy fell back to walk beside me. He didn't look at me, and he was silent for a moment before speaking. "I told you this place was bad news..." He muttered. I shook my head slowly, "And we should've listened to you." I said quietly. Tommy growled, "Well, how did this happen? Weren't you with him?" Tommy questioned. I was silent for a moment. "We got separated in a crowd..." I murmured guiltily. Tommy frowned, "So much for groups...."
We approached the exit, and the gates opened as the front gates had before. I once again glanced at the search towers as I exited the town. We found an area in the woods that seemed safe to camp in for a few hours. I gently sat Uni down and rested his head on my lap. I leaned my back against a tree and sighed, gently running my fingers through the blue haired boys hair. This is all my fault... I thought, then I felt Uni shift in his sleep. I looked at him, and I saw that he was shaking slightly in fear. "A nightmare..." I murmured, petting his hair again. "It's okay..." I whispered softly to him. Then, "Graser...No..." He whispered in his sleep. I raised my eyebrow. Is he dreaming about Graser?
