*sunbae - senior
Sorry the story had so many POVs - hope you don't mind!
Jae's POV
As usual, I was heading to my part-time job as a waiter at a cafe nearby school. I checked the time as it was 5 minutes before my shift starts. "Shit," I cursed under my breath as I prepared to run till a motorbike pulled up in front of me. The guy took off his helmet and turned to me. It was Hoseok, one of the seniors from school.
"Eo? Sunbae-nim?" I bowed. "Seems like you're late. I could give you a lift." he flashed a smile. "Ahh, if it's not a burden to you." I said. "Of course not, get on. And here," he gave me an extra helmet to put on. "Thanks." I smiled as I put it on.
I arrived in front of the cafe a minute before my shift. "Eo? How did you know I work here?' I asked. "Yah, you're going to be late for work. We can have this conversation later." he patted my head. "Arraseoyeo, and thanks again sunbae!" I waved as I rushed into the cafe.
"Just on time, otherwise your wage would've been cut out." my supervisor glare. "Sorry ma'am, I'll try harder to be on time." I bowed as I went inside the workers' locker room to change.
Hoseok's POV
I watched her running inside and getting scolded by her supervisor. I laughed her cute clumsiness. She's just so beautiful, I've noticed that the first time I saw her. It was early this year when the school started. It was her first junior year but she dealt it like a pro. But I've never gained enough courage to ask her out so I simply just try to do little things like these.
"Jung Hoseok, are you here to stalk my employee again?" I turned to see Yoongi's bike pulling by. "Your employee?" I asked. "Yep, aren't you stalking Jae?" he pointed her Jae who was taking her order. "How is Jae your employee?" I asked. "You didn't know my mom own this cafe and I work here for fun?" he took off his helmet and placed it on his bike.
"C-can I work too?" I asked, clutching my hands together. "I have a better way for you. I know Jae well, she's been around before she came to our school. I will help you, but that doesn't include you working here. It's too obvious." Yoongi patted my shoulder. "And how are you gonna do that?" I asked.
"You and I both are in the journalism club. Maybe I could encourage her to join and we could go on a trip, like interviewing someone or something." he suggested. "For what?" I asked back. "For god's sake, Jung Hoseok! No wonder you've been just following her around for the past six months! You guys will be closer to one another and you can finally make a move." Yoongi explained. "Sounds like a plan to me." I excitedly nodded. "Of course, I'm a genius." Yoongi rolled his eyes.
Jae's POV
I came out after changing and quickly started serving. I noticed Hoseok and Yoongi sunbae-nims were talking one another. I put down the coffee for the customers and went back to the counter. Soon, Hoseok sunbae left and Yoongi sunbae came in. "Hey Jae, can I have a word?" he asked. "Sure." I gave him a nod and put down the tray.
"You know Hoseok and I are both in the journalism club, right? Well, we're short-staffed right now and we could really use your help." he explained. "Why me though?" I asked. "We've dealt with enough seniors bossing around. This term, we're actually opening for juniors." he continued. "I couldn't say no." I smiled. "Great! See you tomorrow at the club meeting." he put his motorbike keys on the shelter and went into the wokers' locker room.
A few weeks have passed since I joined the journalism club. There were about 8 people on the registry but every time we had a meeting, only 4 people would show up. "Hoseok sunbae!" I bowed as we ran into each other at the library. "O-oh Jae, are you coming to the meeting later?" he whispered as we couldn't talk loudly.
