I've never been a big fan of the dark... well I haven't been a big fan of many things. The dark gets me though. Yet here I sit in the dark with Richie. Well I WAS with Richie. Until he wandered off. He told me brb eds imma grab something and temporarily opened my bedroom door to reveal light, till he closed it. Letting no light shine through... darkness, pure and utter darkness. I heard something move behind me and my head snaps backwards. *creeeeek* the door creeks open. "RAAW" Richie jumps out at me, holding half a muffin in each of his hands. I jump, not expecting the sudden noise. "WHAT THE FUCK RICHIE!" I yell, "I COULD HAVE DIIIED" I cover my eyes with my hands, breathing heavily. Richie just sits against the wall, laughing all the while. He hands me one half of the muffin, but I wasn't hungry so I set it onto the floor next to me. Richie and I now sat in darkness. The only thing making me realize that Richie was still next to me was, the facts that our hands grasped one another tightly. We interlaced our fingers, me squeezing his hand tighter than I needed to. After maybe 20 mins of sitting in the darkness, the only sound being the faint sound of rain that splattered upon the rooftops. I shift to a comfortable position. I lay my head on Richie's shoulder, laying slanted. He has his arm around me and I'm grabbing the same hand of the arm that's around me. Richie and I both wore short sleeves. Richie hadn't cut since the day he had broken up with me, but I'm another story. Slowly I'm getting more tired... then a sudden jerk, woke me up 100%. My head fell *klonk* onto the floor heavily. "Ow what the.." I sit up rubbing my head. My mom stands in the doorway... that's why Richie scooted away from me. "This funny to u toizer?" I heard my mom whisper loudly, and I can faintly see Richie's figure shaking his head no. "No ma'am" he finally spits out, this included with a awkward voice crack at the end of the sentence. I slowly dropped back down to the floor, pretending to sleep. I see Richie's eyes glance over to me skeptically, then shoot back to my mom. "First off toizer" Richie was looking at the floor and my mom grabbed his head so he would look at her. "First of all... you don't kiss, cuddle, love, or do anything sexual with my boy" she emphasizes on the MY part. Once our door shuts again Richie sits on the floor by the side of my bed. He leans against my bed head drooped. I slowly and quietly make my way to him. Once I get there I sit down on top of his lap, and he jumps in surprise. He freezes temporarily, then begins to run his fingers through my hair. I allow, and honestly I love it when he did this. "Do you think..." I begins, "do you think we have a chance at a normal life?" He lets out a sharp laugh, almost instantly cutting it off. I sigh and get off of him, dropping myself down against the wall. He looks at me with pity. "I mean..." he looks at me and grabs my hand, forcing me to interlace our fingers together. "I think you can live a normal life" he finishes dragging me closer to him so I'm leaning against him. "Even after I..." I stopped mid sentence, and gestured to my wrists from where I had once cut. He understood what I meant and released my hand, bringing it up to his own hair and running his fingers through it. "I don't know" he responds honestly. We both look away from each other, me tearing up ever so slightly. "My mom doesn't know" I suddenly blurt out. He looks at me understandingly. "I know" he says, but somehow I felt like it was common for him to know everything. We glance at each other once more, then I drop my head once again. I pressed the side of my body against his, and he wraps his arm around my body. Supporting my weight, I was comfy. I was annoyed, but overall depressed. We were happy, but over all two broken puzzle pieces... not destined to match.
