Richie pov

We lay in a tall field of grass, just out of Derry. We let down just looking at the stars.
"Are you listening richie" Eddie snaps, shaking me out of my thoughts. "W-what? N-no sorry what did you say" I stumble. "What happened?" He whispered. "I just wanted to make you love me" I say, my mind is so distracted I can't take any of this. "R-Richie what happened?" He croaked, voice raspy from crying. "He pulled his gun on me first... tried to knock me out... I had to do it Eddie, I had to" I rushed, not even knowing if he got it all. I guess it answered my question when I looked up, his face frozen... shocked. "Richie please, slow down..." he mumbled scooting closer to me and grabbing my hand giving it a tight squeeze" I sigh, shaking my head painfully. "He tried to kill me first" I gulp, staring into eddies light brown eyes. He flinched, and I could feel his body tense at my words. "H-he tried to kill you first?" He stuttered, bewildered by the thought. "Y-yeah... that's why I had to shoot him" I whisper. "Richie I'm so sorry" Eddie leaned in for a hug, hugging me tightly. I have no response, I just let him hug me. "Richie it's going to be okay, this'll all pass" Eddie tried to reassure me, but what I was feeling made me confused. I know it was okay. "I still have my step-mum" I tell him, resting my forehead in my hands. "We'll deal with that when we need to rich" he released our hug. "Richie we've been through so much that it would be stupid for us to leave each other right now" he said getting up and helping me to my feet as well. "Richie..." he paused, "yeah" I responded glumly. "Richie, lets go over to the wooded area it looks like it's going to rain soon" he says grabbing my hand, and he leads me to a place underneath a thick leafed tree. He plopped down and smacked the wet ground next to him. I sat reluctantly, and he kissed my cheek before saying. "Richie, I know this'll be tough for you... but we have to try and get some sleep" I nod weakly and we both lay down. "Eddie?" "Yea" he responded sleepily. "Do you think I'm a bad person?" I ask, because all I need is his approval now that my father is gone, now that my old life is gone. "Never" he says, before cuddling up next to me... the next thing I know, I'm sound asleep
